Favorite Summer Outfits.

Hello beautifuls! It’s hump day y’all, another week is almost gone and in just a few days the month will be gone. Speaking about months flying by, my favorite season, fall is almost upon us. For some people fall starts September 23rd, but for me it start August 31st. I like having my home decorated the first day of September.

Since, the summer is coming to an end for me, I just wanted to share some of my favorite summer outfits. I was very fortunate to have been in the sunshine state for most of my summer. For some reason I get inspired to step up my style when I’m in Florida, it can be the beautiful style the people have there and the people places that inspire me.

My first outfit is a romper/dress from American Eagle. It’s such a cute and summery piece. Not many rompers look cute, but this totally takes the cake. On top of it being super cute, it’s totally practical for being a mom chasing after a toddler.

Now, this outfit makes me really happy. I mean how can I not be happy when I’m wearing rose gold Minnie Mouse ears. My shirt is from a Japanese store called uniqlo, which is now in the states and it made me smile to see a similar store and the shorts are from aerie. Paired my cute ears and outfit with some Jack Rogers sandals.

On to my chilling on the hammock outfit. Besides the cardigan and the jacks, this outfit came from the MCX, the store on base. This outfit was comfortable and chic. I had to be comfortable for a little shopping spree I had with my best friend and at the same time not die of a heat stroke.

This is a little more of a risky outfit but I love it. The outfit is from aerie, when I was trying these pieces on at the store I thought it would look ugly, but I felt great and felt confident.

The white dress with flowers and the mustard polka dot dress are both from my favorite store, Target! I’m excited to transition the polka dot dress into fall and pair it with some booties.

The last dress I bought for less than a dollar, how you may ask? Well, I found this gem at the thrift store I work at. This was brand new with tags and it was a piece I couldn’t pass up. It’s not something I would have ever thought of wearing but, I’m trying to step up my wardrobe and this screamed summer.

I hope you all liked my outfits, which one is y’alls favorite?

100 Yen Store Haul & DIY’s

Hey there beautiful people! Today, I’m coming at y’all with a little haul and two diy’s from my favorite stores here in Japan. Daiso and Seria are the stores that have been taking all my coins, literally, since the 100 yen is a coin. I’m beyond obsessed with these places and I don’t know what I’m going to do when we go back stateside. The dollar store back home has nothing on these places. They have great items for diys, the cutest stationary, and not to mention the cutest Disney stuff, and it’s all for 100 yen (1.00 usd). These two places have come in clutch since I’ve been redoing my beauty room. I’ll do a post of my room once it is done.

My last trips I picked up some items for some diys and some random items, since I can’t control myself in those stores, the only downside is they only take yen, which I guess is a good thing because I would be in the hole. So, let’s get into this little haul. All these goodies cost me 2000 yen ($20.00), I mean come on this is a steal! Where else can you find a glass screen protector for $2.00? These were the only things that cost more than $1.00. I’m sure if you drop your phone it will break, but for $2.00 it does the job. On the topic of phones, I picked up this CUTE phone case, for a $1.00! I actually got two for backup. You know what they say, if you like something get multiples for backup. On the stationary side I got some heart paper clips and toy story sticky notes, I’m sure these would be more than $5.00 at Disney or the Disney store, I got them for $2.00. The black hook thing is a handbag holder for the car, it makes it so much easier to reach in to my to get my ID and helps keep my bag from getting dirty. It is something I never thought I needed. The last random item is the handheld fan, this was a crucial item, it is hot ass balls in Japan and I needed to not die of a heat stroke while I was outside. The rest of the items like the marble contact paper, stickers, wooden shelves, paint, and the lace place mat are for diys.

I’m currently obsessed with anything floral, whether it be dresses, floral arrangements and floral decorations. Even though I am obsessed with floral arrangements and decorations, I am not obsessed with spending $50 and up on them. I took it into. I took into my own hands to get what I wanted for way cheaper. You know we got be cute on a budget. The first project I used the little shelves and made a floral arrangement to hang up on my wall. I painted the shelf a blush pink and hot glued the fake flowers onto the shelf. This project cost me a total of $5.00, including the fake flowers. Tell me this isn’t something you can find at Target for $20.00. I absolutely love how it turned out.

The second floral project I made was a take on a pin I saw on Pinterest. This diy cost a little more due to not being able to find a embroidery hoop at the 100 yen store, I had to go to an actual craft store to find. The hoop was $10.00, but I’m sure it can be found on amazon for cheaper, I just didn’t have the patience to wait for it to come. I found the lace mat and flowers at daiso, the total for the project was $12.00. This too was east to accomplish, all I did was unscrew the hoop, lay the mat on top of the smaller hoop and tighten the hoops together. I then cut off the excess fabric around the hoop and finally, I hot glued the flowers onto the fabric and arranged the flowers to my liking. I think this came out amazing and it was super easy to make. What do y’all think?

I hope y’all enjoyed this little haul and these easy diys as much as I did. Thanks for reading.

Got Ink?

Hello beautifuls! I hope y’all have a great Monday and start y’alls week of right. Today’s post I’ll be talking about a little something I did when I was back home stateside. What is that little something I did, you may ask? Well… after a lot of thinking and backing out for years, I finally got my first tattoo! To some people this isn’t a big deal, but for me it was a really big deal. I have been wanting a tattoo for years, there was actually a night when we lived in North Carolina I walked into a place and I was ready to get one. Unfortunately, the one I wanted and where I wanted it was something that I would have to touch up often and I wasn’t about that life. But, I kept thinking of what I would want to get and finding the balls to get one, I really wanted to get something meaningful and very important to me.

I still can’t believe I actually got one, I finally got the nerve and did it. This tattoo has so much meaning to me, it makes me smile every time I look at it. One of the reasons it so special to me is because my baby brother and I were going to get our first tattoos done together and he was sweet enough to pay for mine. It was my Mother’s Day gift from him, I swear I have the sweetest brothers, three to be exact. The second reason is I got something that meant a lot to me, which is the date my baby boy was born. He was an absolute blessing itself.

At the age of 18, I was told by doctors I couldn’t get pregnant due to this syndrome known as PCOS ( Polycystic ovary syndrome). I was always irregular when it came to my period and my body didn’t release eggs. So, I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant. I was told this is a common issue among young women. But, that didn’t matter to me, I couldn’t believe at a young age I was told I couldn’t be a mother. That news broke my heart and I cried to my parents, and told them you guys will never have a grandchild from me. They hugged me and said “Do not listen to these doctors, if it is in Gods will for you to be a mother, you will be a mother”. I always kept that in my mind, but I didn’t stay optimistic about it. When I got married I told my husband that there was a possibility I would never be able to give him a child. Well, like my parents said God had other plans. A year into being married I got pregnant, I still couldn’t believe it! I took so many tests before and they all came out negative, I just gave up. I was so surprised that it was positive that I wasn’t even sure how to read it. I had to ask my sister in law what does two lines mean. Haha. It was a great day.

My first tattoo owns a special place in my heart and it is something that will always make me smile when I look at it. Thanks to my baby brother who pushed me and was right there to hold my hand when I got it. I’m already thinking about what I want my second tattoo to be.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed today’s post.

The Layover From Hell!

Hi there, beautiful people! I hope you all are doing amazing today. Tomorrow is technically my Monday and I’m kind of not looking forward to it, it was so hard to get out of bed this morning. Since, I have showed you all the fun stuff and the goodies I got back home I thought it was time to tell you the struggles I had to go through to get there. So, besides me not wanting to be an adult anymore, I’m coming at y’all with a little story of my crazy experience during my travels back to the states. It sure is an interesting experience and about the most annoying thing I had to go through, it doesn’t help that I did it alone with a two year old.

Let’s start off with the start of my travels, which almost didn’t happen. When I got to the airport and was checking in to board, I didn’t know I had to have my husbands orders. Long story short we had to scramble and figure out how we can get these papers in a hurry. Thank goodness my hubby had his orders in his email and was able to send it to me. The Japanese were so nice and understanding, they even let me skip the line and go right through once we got checked in and they were even apologizing to me for the inconvenience, it just left me so shocked. They are absolutely beautiful people. This situation was just a little hiccup compared to what is next.

My first layover was in China, when we got off the plane onto the flight line, I had to haul a toddler and a carry on across the flight line to take a shuttle to the actual airport, mind you it is hot as all hell and the shuttle had no air conditioning! I was literally melting and Jason wasn’t doing much, because he was being hauled around like a prince but, he was even sweating. Once, we finally got to the airport we had to stand in the longest line I have ever been in to get our visas! Yes, we needed a visa to be in China for like hours. The most annoying thing ever. It about took the entire layover time to get through the visa line, customs, and to get to the other side of this ginormous airport. It felt like it was taking forever. Oh, did I forget to say that while I walked a thousand miles to get to the other side there was no air conditioning! When we got to the terminal there were these cute little Chinese shops and we had like an hour or so to pass so, we went to get snacks and drinks and there was a really cute jade bracelet I wanted to buy but, really debated on spending $150 on it. We finally got on the plane and it was a 13 hour flight from China to Chicago.

When we got to Chicago I thought it would be smooth sailing, I was so wrong! Again, I had to haul a toddler and a carry on a thousand miles to get the other side of this huge airport and we still had to take a train to get to our terminal. Thankfully, this airport had air conditioning. Good thing we had a little bit more time at this layover to change into different clothes and get some Starbucks. Only 3 more hours until we get to Florida from Chicago, we so close and yet, so far. Was it worth it, you may ask? Absolutely! I had the best time with family and I know for sure my squishy bear had a blast as well. Will I do it again? Haha, NO! I will not be going back until our time here in Japan is up and I have my husband to share the responsibility of hauling our child.

On our way back to Japan it wasn’t as bad. We didn’t have to walk all over creation. Although, will still had to take a shuttle in China with no air, I decided to treat myself for all that trouble. I collect Starbucks ” You Are Here” collection and I took the chance to buy a China mug and I was able to buy the jade bracelet, a ring, and a tiny elephant. They are absolutely beautiful. I figured I will never be back here so, why not.

It was truly a crazy and struggling experience. I hope y’all enjoyed this post!

Luxury Makeup Haul.

Hello, my beautiful people! I hope y’alls week is going great, we are half way done with the week. Woot Woot! Today, I’m coming at y’all with some bougie makeup products I bought when I was back home. I usually don’t splurge on makeup this much, but I couldn’t resist. I had to treat myself. I also treated my mom and and mother in law to a little Chanel lipstick. They are the best, so they deserve it.

Now, let’s get into these awesome products that in my opinion are worth the coins. The first products are the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick and blush. I am in love with the color of this lipstick, it’s the perfect muted brownish nude. I pair it with some gloss and it is stunning. Obsessed! The blush has got to be my go to blush, I haven’t touched any of my other blushes since I’ve gotten this one. You would think it would be a crazy color, but it’s not, it is sheer but buildable. I can’t get enough of it. Thankfully, Nordstrom’s delivers here so, I will be ordering these products again when I run out.

The next luxury products are from the one and only bougie brand, Chanel. I have been wanting to try out some products from this prestigious brand for a while. They sell Chanel here in Japan, but what they don’t sell is my shade. The Japanese women wear minimal makeup and have the most flawless skin. To have flawless skin, they cover up from the sun, so you can already guess what shade they are. So, I took advantage that I was back home to try out some products. There was one flop, which is why it’s not in the haul. That one flop was the foundation. It had too much of a pink undertone and my undertones are more natural. Even though the foundation was a miss, I did get some amazing products such as, the setting powder, foundation powder, bronzer, mascara, and a lipstick.

The only setting powder I would use was the Givenchy prisme setting powder. It was the only setting powder that didn’t give a flashback and didn’t look too powdery. With that being said, this Chanel setting powder has taken the cake. No flashback and it just melts into my skin. It’s amazing and for the size and how much product is has, it’s worth it. The foundation may not have worked out for me but, the foundation powder sure did. I sometimes don’t want to beat my face but, I sure don’t want to look like I just rolled out the bed, in some cases I do go out like that. Haha. So, for the days I don’t want to use foundation, I just use concealer and a powder foundation. This Chanel powder is so soft and buttery and the coverage is beautiful. It smells amazing and so luxurious, I just take a minute and smell it. I know, I’m a little weird.

Chanel has really taken over in my makeup routine, beside the setting powder being the only powder I use to set my face, the bronzer is the only bronzer I use. It doesn’t matter if I’m feeling a full beat face or just a little powder, I always use the Chanel bronzer. It’s the perfect bronzing shade, it’s so creamy for a powder bronzer , and there is no patchiness. It absolutely flawless, and again it smell amazing.

The last two products are the mascara and lipstick. Besides my tarte, lights, camera, lashes mascara, the Chanel mascara is the only mascara that makes my eyelashes look great without making them look clumpy and all spider leg like. Most mascaras I have tried always flake off and make my eye itch, this mascara wears very well for long periods of time. I honestly love all these products and will be repurchasing them again.

I hope you all enjoyed this haul. See y’all soon!
