Hello Beautifuls! I’m so excited to share with y’all what I did for my birthday. So, we don’t only celebrate on my birthday, we celebrate all weekend long and birthday so happens to fall on a long weekend. Woot Woot! Turning 26 is a little bittersweet for me, like in just 4 years I will be 30! I’m not going to lie I think I’m going to react just like Rachel did in friends, I think I’m going to react more like Joey, he was extra dramatic. But, for now I will enjoy everyday to the fullest!
On Saturday, we did something a bit low key and headed to the movies and watched the Addams family. It was mostly for Jason, but I love going to the movies and enjoying some buttery popcorn, nachos, and candy. So it was a win win. Following the movies we did a little bit of adulting and went grocery shopping. Fun stuff! We then came home, made some Halloween sugar cookies and had some wine. That’s how we ended the first day of my birthday fun.
On Sunday, we headed to Hiroshima for some shopping and birthday dinner. This day had some ups and downs, we will start with the bad news. So, let me start off by saying that this is the reason why we don’t like to explore and try new things. With that being said, there was this one restaurant that I’ve been wanting to go for a long time. It was a rooftop place, it looked super cute and the food looked like something we would enjoy. Omg! Was I wrong!!! The place was cute, but not quite kid friendly and the food was complete trash. It was sooo expensive and totally not worth it in my opinion. We paid $60 for what can only be called appetizers. The hubby got a plate of “assorted” sausage but, it looked like hotdog cut up into pieces, that plate was $10. I ordered shrimp that cost $7 for only TWO pieces of shrimp, they were pretty big but, it I could’ve done with out the heads still on them. Completely freaked me out for sure, I did try them but, I still did not like them. I could only swallow one. Nothing is worse than heartbreak than paying for food that was not good. Lol While, we were at dinner I checked our account and saw that the place I went to before dinner charged the card twice. So, we had to run all the way back, yes, run because we walked to the restaurant. We had to run back to the store before they closed to figure it out. So, turns out when I gave my card when I thought I was ready to check out it was ran but, I added one more item so, I didn’t authorize the first payment but, it somehow went through. So, now I have to wait to for all the payment to process and hopefully it gets cancelled out or I’m going to have to call the bank.Y’all have no idea how hard it was to try to explain what was wrong when we both didn’t understand each other. Here’s to hoping everything works out.
On to the good part, aside from the double charge on the card. I went to one of my favorite luxury thrift store in Hiroshima. This is the place I have gotten most of my preloved luxury items. I can always find some of stuff and I’m definitely going miss these amazing stores when we leave in a couple months. This trip no doubt didn’t disappoint, I found brand new Gucci sunglasses with the case for more than half off a brand new pair would cost in the store. I was super excited when I found these. Besides the sunglasses, I also found the cutest Christian Dior chocker, which is the item at messed everything up. Haha. Either way it was all worth it. It was a great time with my family and we got to experience new things which will probably be the last time we do so. Haha.
Today, is my actual birthday! Woot woot! I can only be thankful and blessed to have another year to share with my family. Since we have been going out for a couple of days, I decided to stay home open some more presents and relax. My hubby has to work tomorrow so, we needed this day to relax. Best way to celebrate my birthday was with cuddles and a lazy day. That’s all for the birthday fun, I will be posting all my presents once they arrive, living in Japan things take forever and a day to arrive so, patience is important out here. Haha. Til next time my beautifuls.
