Happy 26th Birthday To Me!

Hello Beautifuls! I’m so excited to share with y’all what I did for my birthday. So, we don’t only celebrate on my birthday, we celebrate all weekend long and birthday so happens to fall on a long weekend. Woot Woot! Turning 26 is a little bittersweet for me, like in just 4 years I will be 30! I’m not going to lie I think I’m going to react just like Rachel did in friends, I think I’m going to react more like Joey, he was extra dramatic. But, for now I will enjoy everyday to the fullest!

On Saturday, we did something a bit low key and headed to the movies and watched the Addams family. It was mostly for Jason, but I love going to the movies and enjoying some buttery popcorn, nachos, and candy. So it was a win win. Following the movies we did a little bit of adulting and went grocery shopping. Fun stuff! We then came home, made some Halloween sugar cookies and had some wine. That’s how we ended the first day of my birthday fun.

On Sunday, we headed to Hiroshima for some shopping and birthday dinner. This day had some ups and downs, we will start with the bad news. So, let me start off by saying that this is the reason why we don’t like to explore and try new things. With that being said, there was this one restaurant that I’ve been wanting to go for a long time. It was a rooftop place, it looked super cute and the food looked like something we would enjoy. Omg! Was I wrong!!! The place was cute, but not quite kid friendly and the food was complete trash. It was sooo expensive and totally not worth it in my opinion. We paid $60 for what can only be called appetizers. The hubby got a plate of “assorted” sausage but, it looked like hotdog cut up into pieces, that plate was $10. I ordered shrimp that cost $7 for only TWO pieces of shrimp, they were pretty big but, it I could’ve done with out the heads still on them. Completely freaked me out for sure, I did try them but, I still did not like them. I could only swallow one. Nothing is worse than heartbreak than paying for food that was not good. Lol While, we were at dinner I checked our account and saw that the place I went to before dinner charged the card twice. So, we had to run all the way back, yes, run because we walked to the restaurant. We had to run back to the store before they closed to figure it out. So, turns out when I gave my card when I thought I was ready to check out it was ran but, I added one more item so, I didn’t authorize the first payment but, it somehow went through. So, now I have to wait to for all the payment to process and hopefully it gets cancelled out or I’m going to have to call the bank.Y’all have no idea how hard it was to try to explain what was wrong when we both didn’t understand each other. Here’s to hoping everything works out.

On to the good part, aside from the double charge on the card. I went to one of my favorite luxury thrift store in Hiroshima. This is the place I have gotten most of my preloved luxury items. I can always find some of stuff and I’m definitely going miss these amazing stores when we leave in a couple months. This trip no doubt didn’t disappoint, I found brand new Gucci sunglasses with the case for more than half off a brand new pair would cost in the store. I was super excited when I found these. Besides the sunglasses, I also found the cutest Christian Dior chocker, which is the item at messed everything up. Haha. Either way it was all worth it. It was a great time with my family and we got to experience new things which will probably be the last time we do so. Haha.

Today, is my actual birthday! Woot woot! I can only be thankful and blessed to have another year to share with my family. Since we have been going out for a couple of days, I decided to stay home open some more presents and relax. My hubby has to work tomorrow so, we needed this day to relax. Best way to celebrate my birthday was with cuddles and a lazy day. That’s all for the birthday fun, I will be posting all my presents once they arrive, living in Japan things take forever and a day to arrive so, patience is important out here. Haha. Til next time my beautifuls.

Happy Easter!

Hello Beautifuls! Easter is this Sunday, and making my baby boy his Easter basket is so much fun to make. Honestly, I may go a little bit over board but, oh well it is what it is. I am that extra. Not only do I go overboard but , so do my parents. They go overboard for everything, now you know where I get it from. Haha.

I’ll be showing you what I got my little squishy for Easter. As well, as what my parents got him.

He already has a personalized Easter basket. So, for his basket I got him a personalized 8 in. egg. Inside I put some goodies, I got him and my friends daughter custom matching shirts for our vacation this summer to Okinawa. Followed by a truck and a Reese’s bunny. Besides, the big egg, I’ll be putting some eggs filled with gummy jelly beans, some chocolates, two big bubble bath bombs, and $5 in one dollar bills. We will also be doing our own little Easter egg hunt.

Moving onto what my parents got him. So, first off the stuff can’t even fit in his other baskets, that’s how much stuff they send him. They kept it Disney Cars theme, his favorite. They sent him a bunch of the mini racers, a racetrack, Cars eggs, Cars shirt, cool light up lightening McQueen sneakers, and finally some candy. I told y’all they go big.

I also send a little Easter box to my bestie & her daughter. I got them both personalized eggs. In my friends egg I put a bunch in KitKats, some press on nails, and glittery earrings that match the hair bow I put in her daughters egg. For my sweet Perri I sent her some cute sandals and inside her egg was some KitKats, her matching bow, and custom shirt.

Do y’all go big or small for Easter? As y’all can see we go big. Haha

I hope you all have a blessed Easter!

February Favorites!

Hello Beautifuls! Happy Monday! Hope y’all start off your Monday’s off great! I know I’m a bit late on posting my February favorites but, I have been a bit busy. So, better late than never, right?!

Let’s get into the fun stuff! The first thing I want to talk about is a new hobby I’ve picked up and that new hobby is crocheting. This little hobby started because my husband volunteers at the USO and they give volunteer hours if you crotchet a baby blanket. So, we now we sit on the couch and crotchet. It’s my favorite thing to do, I love it so much that I wanted to make more than blankets. I started YouTubing some videos on crocheting different things and as you can see I went with it and starting making cup cozy’s and hair bows. It’s the most relaxing thing to do.

Moving onto some beauty products. This month I don’t have a lot of new makeup besides these two products. The first beauty item is this Maybelline setting powder. I have been on the hunt for a cheaper setting powder than my Chanel powder to use for an everyday look. This powder is amazing. It’s blend into the skin beautifully, couldn’t ask for a better powder for the price.

Second product is more on the high end side. I LOVE & can’t live without highlight. It’s about the most important part of my makeup routine ever. This Charlotte Tilbury highlight pallet gives me the most amazing glow and a little goes a long way. It’s just amazing. Period!

My following favorite is this pink ottoman I got for target for my beauty room. It was something I’ve been looking into buying for awhile. It’s not as big as I would have wanted but, first, I live in Japan and it’s hard to get big stuff shipped to me and second, it’s the perfect size for my room I have now. It just ties up the room and gives it a little bit more of a dimension.

Finally, I saved the best for last. This right here is a little beautiful pouch my sweet late grandmother gave me before she passed and it’s something I cherish so much. The reason it’s being mentioned now is because I just found it. Since moving to Japan and not having a lot of space for things we left some things in the storage room. Since, seeing tidying up with Marie Kondo we decided to get rid of things and live a little bit more organized. So while cleaning the storage I found my little pouch and cried tears of joy. This little pouch is now in my bag inside another bag(so it doesn’t get damaged) and will be changed into every bag I use. This way I always have a little piece of my sweet abuelita.

Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed my February favorites! Till next time!!!

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.

It came in flash it seems but, the most wonderful time of the year is here! It’s the first day of December and we already had a day full of winter fun. In the afternoon, since my hubby volunteered to be Santa Claus, I went with some friends to the winter market on base and did a little shopping. The winter market is a place where little home shops can be in one place and sell their products. Yes, you read that right, my husband loves dressing up like Santa Claus and surprisingly he doesn’t scare the kids, they actually like him. Haha. Like, I was saying it was a fun time and Jason got to take a picture with Santa aka daddy. We were scared that he would recognize him and pull down his beard and ruin the illusion for the other kids but, he didn’t. Thank goodness.

Later in the evening, we went to the tree lighting event. There were brownies, hot cocoa, delicious apple cider, yummy food, and Christmas music. This was a great experience and to have been surrounded with friends made it so much more fun. It wasn’t the tree lighting at the Rocker Feller but, it was beautiful nonetheless. We made great memories already and it’s just the first day of December, I can only hope there’s more fun to come.

Proud To Be A Military Wife.

IMG_3324

Today’s post is inspired by a video my lovely friend Elizabeth posted on her channel talking about “Why She Loves Being A Military Wife”. I have always felt blessed being a military spouse, some people don’t get what being a military spouse is. While it does have amazing benefits, it also comes with crazy sacrifices. I’ll start with the reasons why I love being a military spouse and then I’ll get into not so loving parts.

Getting into the first reason why I love being a military spouse is the amazing benefits we have like 100% insurance and housing. I was able to give birth to our beautiful baby boy without having to worry about medical bills. Housing is another great benefit, we either have the choice to stay on base rent free or rent a home off base and be given extra money to cover the costs. Since, we’ve been married we’ve lived on base and haven’t had a bad experience since, well, home wise… people that’s a different story. Haha.

In addition, to the previous reasons I love being a military wife because, it lets us travel the world. If you have been following me for a while y’all know that we are stationed in Japan. Never in a million years did I think I would ever get to see Japan let alone live here for three years. Not only do we get to see different parts of world, but the most important reason is I’m blessed enough to be a stay at home mom. I get to see my squishy grow and see him learn new things everyday. It is a great blessing to be able to stay home and not be financially struggling. I get to only focus on school and my home, you know make sure my husband and child are fed and has clean underwear. Lol. With my husband being in the military once he reaches eight years of services, he can transfer something that is called the GI bill, which gives Jason the opportunity to go to college and have it all paid for.

To say the least, being a military wife it has given me the amazing blessing of meeting greats friends who now we basically consider our little military family. Even though we are spread in different places and may not talk to each other everyday we know that we are there for each other whenever it is needed. Making friends in the military is super important because, like I said before some people just don’t understand what we go through, not even family can understand as well as another military spouse will. So, thank you to my little military family for always being there for me.

Now, onto the sacrifices we have to make as part as being a military wife. Some people look at our lives as being luxurious and being lucky that we can stay home without having to worry about bills and such. Let me tell you, it gets on my ever lasting nerve when people compare their lives and tell me I am lucky I don’t have to worry about bills and we get paid so well that I can stay home and not worry about things most civilians have to worry about. Yes, it’s true I don’t have to worry about these things and yes, my husband is able to give me a luxury every once in a while, but it ain’t all rainbows and butterflies I’ll tell you that. I hate the fact that people only see the good things but, never seem to think or see the sacrifices. One of them being, my husband is not always with us, he can be gone for days, weeks, or even months at a time. It is not always for sure he will be home on time to say goodnight to our child. Being in the military us, wives, need to get used to the words “I Don’t Know” nothing is ever for sure in the military. My husband could be called out to war in a second and there’s nothing I can do. The people who think the pay is so great, don’t think about when my husband comes home late he doesn’t get paid overtime. He can be gone from 5am to 10pm, that’s way past an 8 hour day.

Although, we get to live in different parts of the world, it is a struggle to be so far away from family. Only being able to face time, not being able to be with family on the holidays. Many families have to deal with family members being deployed. Heck, I don’t even know if my husband will be here for Christmas. Like I said we have to get used to the words “I Don’t Know”.

Nevertheless, I love being a military wife, it is a great honor to stand next to a man in uniform who is serving our country. This isn’t a life many can handle but, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Family Day At The Zoo.

Hello Beautifuls! I hope you guys had a fantastic weekend and have a great Monday. Well, as great as you can make a Monday be so, throw back a cup of good cup of coffee and start your week off strong.

Anyways, my weekend was full of fun and excitement. It has been a while since we had a little adventure in Japan. On Saturday, we went to a sushi go round with some friends, Jason loves some California rolls. In case you don’t know what a sushi go round is, it’s a place where different types of sushi is going around on a belt line and you can pick from the line up. We thought it was going to be super expensive, but to our surprise it was quite affordable for the amount of sushi we ate. It has become a favorite spot for us now, amoung other amazing…

Mini Family Vacation.

Hello Beautifuls! How is y’alls summer going so far? Mine as been filled with family love, laughter, shopping, a lot of shopping, and creating great memories. I’ve been in Florida for about two months, I’ll be heading back to Japan Sunday morning. I can’t believe how fast these months have gone by. It’s going to be so sad to say goodbye to my family again for another year and a half. I will miss them very much and I’m sure they are going to miss us, especially Jason. But, we will be back before you know it.

Since, being back in the states I’ve gone to target so many times I have lost count. I’ve been deprived so, I needed my fix, don’t judge. We’ve done a lot of shopping, I think I’m set for a while and so is Jason. I’ll do a separate post on our big shopping…
