Okinawa Trip.

Hello Beautifuls! We got back from our family vacation a few days ago. It was an amazing trip, we got to celebrate Jason’s 3rd birthday our there, but we were ready to be home! Mainly because I fly out to Florida Wednesday so, I wanted a few days to rest before I had to tackle the airport with a toddler again, BY MYSELF. The struggle is all worth it though when I see my crazy family and I’ll have round o’clock babysitters so, I’ll get to rest. Lol. Back to our Okinawa trip, we had a blast and just so happy to see our besties again. Jason and Perri were inseparable and troublemakers for sure but, put two toddlers in the same house and what do you expect. Especially only child toddlers.

We went on a few adventures while we were there, we also stayed in and relaxed because well, it’s a vacation. No need to run ourselves ragged. Also, doing things with toddlers is already an adventure it’s self.

On our first adventure in Okinawa was this park called pineapple park. Yes, it’s a park about pineapples. We stumbled upon it looking a for a park with dinosaurs but, we couldn’t find it. Luckily, this place had a little dinosaur exhibit. Jason and Perri are into dinosaurs so it was a hit with the kids and it was a really cool experience for Jason. We thought it would scare him and we would never have to see Jurassic park movie again. We were wrong. It was an interesting park to say the least.

We ate at a cute little place called Calin. We ate taco rice casserole and had some yummy French toast and parfait for dessert. I didn’t get a chance to take a picture, my toddler dug right in.

Following this fun adventure, we did something a little bit more cultured. We visited the Shuri Castle, they even had a little stamp map and at the end of the course of we got all the stamps we got a little souvenir. It was a gorgeous castle, the kids sure did enjoy running around and burning off some energy. The locals were also taking pictures with the kids it was quite funny. They were like little celebrities.

The last big adventure we had was for Jason Birthday! He woke up to balloons and gifts. We went to the second biggest aquarium there is. We saw big sting rays, a whale shark, a big ugly fish, and a dolphin show with the most amazing view. Jason was so intrigued by the sharks, they are a favorite as well. I got the kids matching shirts, they looked soo cute. It was a great day and full of fun memories. We then celebrated at home with some cupcakes my bestie was kind enough to make for him. She’s the best! Jason also bought some souvenirs with the money my parents and brother sent him. He was also sweet enough to pick out a pink dolphin for his best friend Perri. It literally melted my heart how giving and thoughtful my squishy is.

The rest of the days were pretty chill and we went to a place called American village and the views were gorgeous! We ate at this amazing burger place and had ice cream at blue seal. It was all so yummy.

I also had to get some souvenirs from this trip. The most important one is my Starbucks mug, I now have 4 Mugs from different places in Japan. I also picked up a magnet, a pin, & a keychain and picture from the pineapple park.

It was a beautiful island and a great experience. I’m absolutely blessed to have been able to go this trip and make memories with my family and friend. Like, y’all can see I wasn’t lying when I said they were inseparable. They held hands and hugged all the time. It’s was so sweet, my heart just melted every time. Now, I have to prepare for my trip to Florida!

Saying Goodbye To The Tori Gate.

Hello beautifuls! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on here, I miss y’all! How y’all been? How are y’all spending your Memorial Day weekend?

We had a pretty adventurous weekend. We started off by going to the island of Miyajima to see the Tori Gate before it went down to be reconstructed. It will be going under construction this June and will be down for two years. We will be leaving Japan next year. It was the prefect opportunity to go on a little adventure and get a picture and create memories before we depart.

This island is also known as deer island, as there are wild deer everywhere. It’s not advise to feed them or they will stalk you forever. Jason was frightened at first but, then got use to them and wanted to pet them. Besides the deers, it was nice to see the architecture and shrines.(It’s not allowed to take pictures of the shrines). The hubby and squishy got some ice cream and I, of course got some Starbucks. The whole island is so beautiful, it truly is an experience.

Today, Memorial Day, we went over to a friends house and had a cookout. Being with our military family and eating was a great way to spend this day. I’m truly blessed to have my husband home everyday. My heart goes out to all the families that have lost their loved ones fighting for our amazing country. This day is for you, you may be gone but never forgotten.

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.

It came in flash it seems but, the most wonderful time of the year is here! It’s the first day of December and we already had a day full of winter fun. In the afternoon, since my hubby volunteered to be Santa Claus, I went with some friends to the winter market on base and did a little shopping. The winter market is a place where little home shops can be in one place and sell their products. Yes, you read that right, my husband loves dressing up like Santa Claus and surprisingly he doesn’t scare the kids, they actually like him. Haha. Like, I was saying it was a fun time and Jason got to take a picture with Santa aka daddy. We were scared that he would recognize him and pull down his beard and ruin the illusion for the other kids but, he didn’t. Thank goodness.

Later in the evening, we went to the tree lighting event. There were brownies, hot cocoa, delicious apple cider, yummy food, and Christmas music. This was a great experience and to have been surrounded with friends made it so much more fun. It wasn’t the tree lighting at the Rocker Feller but, it was beautiful nonetheless. We made great memories already and it’s just the first day of December, I can only hope there’s more fun to come.

Capture Life’s Moments.

IMG_5872[1351]

When I was growing up, I always had a camera in my face. Whether it be taking a picture or recording a family gathering. My parents were very good at capturing my childhood. One of my uncles took it to the extreme. He truly captured every moment in life. I am sure he has pictures and a video of my first time getting highlights in my hair. This being the reason I take pictures all the time. My camera is full of pictures of Jason and places we go to. My phone is out of memory from pictures of Jason. I take my camera everywhere, I barely use My IPhone camera. ( ironically, I took the picture above with my IPhone camera.) No, the reason I do not use my IPhone is not because I am out memory, I just prefer the picture quality of my camera.

Since, I love taking pictures and I want to capture any adorable moment of my son or our little outings in Japan. I use the Sony a5000, I could not live without it. It takes amazing pictures and it is so compact. It can easily fit in a small cross body and still have room for my wallet and phone. I get compliments on my pictures all the time and it is all thanks to the Sony a5000. I have been wanting to buy this camera for a long time and luckily one of my friends, who is an amazing photographer, was selling hers. It was practically brand new, it came with a brand new lens and with other accessories, it was a great deal. Not long after she sold it, she bought another one. That’s how good it is. So, if you are on the hunt for a good camera, get the Sony a5000. It is about the same DSLR and it is half the size. I just love it. My polaroid camera is everything. It gives me such 90’s vibes. It captures the moment  and prints it out instantly. I use it to take pictures I really want to keep and have instantly. This means I have hundreds of polaroid’s of my squishy bear. It is just so cute. I will always love to take pictures. One day I will look back and see all the memories of my life.
