Sakura Haul.

Hello Beautifuls! As, the cherry blossom begin to fall and the Sakura season comes to an end here in Japan, I’m kind of saddened by the thought that this will be my last Sakura season. As, our time here in Japan is almost coming to an end, I thought instead of being sad, why not share some cute pictures and all things Sakura.

My husband was sweet enough to hype me up and take some really cute cherry blossom pictures. I couldn’t stop laughing and telling him to stop. He really got into the photographer mode, it was freaking adorable. Take a look at these cute pictures my hubby took.

(My entire outfit, including heels are from Target.)

Besides the beautiful flowers that bloom, there are also seasonal Sakura drinks, one of my favorite ones I’ve had, has to be the prettiest and yummiest one yet! It’s from my favorite smoothie place near our house. It’s so aesthetically pleasing, I had a hard time drinking it.

Moving on to some goodies I bought at Daiso (Japanese dollar store on crack) haha, Starbucks, and MAC.

This place is seriously dangerous, it’s a good thing they don’t take cards or I’d be in serious trouble with the hubs. Just take a look at these cute things, you’ll see why it’s so hard to control myself and it’s all a dollar! They are the best at having cute stationary, so I couldn’t pass up some washi tape and stickers. The flower and dog are iron on patches for a dollar! Last thing is fake cherry blossoms, I used to make an arrangement.

If you ask my husband he’ll tell you have a mug/ tumbler hoarding problem, and he’s not wrong. So, knowing that and seeing this tumbler y’all can see it was a no brainer why I bought it. It’s pink, has cherry blossoms, and glitter. It can’t get any better than that.

Last two items I bought from MAC Cosmetics, it’s part of there Boom Boom Bloom collection. It is still available if you want to get some things from this beautiful collection. I had to have some self control so I just purchase two things. I really wanted the eye shadow pallet but, I have enough pallets so, it would’ve been wasteful. So, being the responsible makeup addict that I am, I just got a setting spray and a lipstick in the color Hi- Fructease Look how gorgeous the packaging is. Love!

Hope you enjoyed all things sakura and this little haul!

Transitioning My Toddler to His Big Boy Bed.

Hello beautifuls! I hope y’all are doing amazing this week. I’m doing amazing and super excited for my birthday coming up in a couple days, but I’m also bugging out that I’m turning 25, in 5 more years I’ll be 30! WOW! But, let’s move on to another little person who keeps growing and breaking my heart, my squishy, my toddler Jason. We recently transitioned him from his crib, since he would escape from every morning. This was a sign that he was ready for a big boy bed. A huge thanks to grandma and grandpa for buying him his toddler bed, y’all are the best.

I had so much fun making his room a big boy room. He really didn’t have a lot of decor for his nursery since we moved to Japan. So, I went into diy mode and made some of his room decor. Thanks to the yen store here in Japan I was able to make his decor for cheap. It was easy to pick what his room was going to be since he is obsessed with cars and loves the movies from Disney Cars. I first started with these box displays, I painted them to look like roads, I have been collecting mini cars and I thought it would be a perfect way to display them in his room. I think they are the cutest things ever!

The next thing I made was a sign with his name on it. Now, this took a while to make, but it turned out sooo awesome! This took three 8×11 canvas boards, a printer to print out the letters, mod podge, and a lot of patience. I was able to find free fonts to create the font of the movie Cars. I then started to trace out every square to make a race car flag. I painted the square black and white, once it was dry I mod podged the letters onto the canvas. This helps it lay the letters flat and seem like they are painted on. To make the 95’s that are on each side of his name sign, I used smaller canvas and painted them red, printed the number 95 and mod podged it on the canvases. I felt like this really brought the name sign together.

I was able to find these hooks at the yen store and painted it red, I thought it would be great to hang his backpack and jackets. This was the one thing that wasn’t as time consuming. But, it looks great.

I found the carpet at a store called nafco, it’s so soft and fluffy, I have the exact same one in my beauty room in pink. They are high quality carpets and were super affordable, can y’all believe they were only $40! I had to snatch them up. His little table I bought on amazon for $35 and the little bar stools I bought at daiso for $4 each. The bed set I bought from target on sale. And lastly the wall art I got on Etsy, it was $3 for the digital copy of the cars. I then printed them out on photo paper.

Jason loves his new bed and room. I think it turned out amazing! What do y’all think?

100 Yen Store Haul & DIY’s

Hey there beautiful people! Today, I’m coming at y’all with a little haul and two diy’s from my favorite stores here in Japan. Daiso and Seria are the stores that have been taking all my coins, literally, since the 100 yen is a coin. I’m beyond obsessed with these places and I don’t know what I’m going to do when we go back stateside. The dollar store back home has nothing on these places. They have great items for diys, the cutest stationary, and not to mention the cutest Disney stuff, and it’s all for 100 yen (1.00 usd). These two places have come in clutch since I’ve been redoing my beauty room. I’ll do a post of my room once it is done.

My last trips I picked up some items for some diys and some random items, since I can’t control myself in those stores, the only downside is they only take yen, which I guess is a good thing because I would be in the hole. So, let’s get into this little haul. All these goodies cost me 2000 yen ($20.00), I mean come on this is a steal! Where else can you find a glass screen protector for $2.00? These were the only things that cost more than $1.00. I’m sure if you drop your phone it will break, but for $2.00 it does the job. On the topic of phones, I picked up this CUTE phone case, for a $1.00! I actually got two for backup. You know what they say, if you like something get multiples for backup. On the stationary side I got some heart paper clips and toy story sticky notes, I’m sure these would be more than $5.00 at Disney or the Disney store, I got them for $2.00. The black hook thing is a handbag holder for the car, it makes it so much easier to reach in to my to get my ID and helps keep my bag from getting dirty. It is something I never thought I needed. The last random item is the handheld fan, this was a crucial item, it is hot ass balls in Japan and I needed to not die of a heat stroke while I was outside. The rest of the items like the marble contact paper, stickers, wooden shelves, paint, and the lace place mat are for diys.

I’m currently obsessed with anything floral, whether it be dresses, floral arrangements and floral decorations. Even though I am obsessed with floral arrangements and decorations, I am not obsessed with spending $50 and up on them. I took it into. I took into my own hands to get what I wanted for way cheaper. You know we got be cute on a budget. The first project I used the little shelves and made a floral arrangement to hang up on my wall. I painted the shelf a blush pink and hot glued the fake flowers onto the shelf. This project cost me a total of $5.00, including the fake flowers. Tell me this isn’t something you can find at Target for $20.00. I absolutely love how it turned out.

The second floral project I made was a take on a pin I saw on Pinterest. This diy cost a little more due to not being able to find a embroidery hoop at the 100 yen store, I had to go to an actual craft store to find. The hoop was $10.00, but I’m sure it can be found on amazon for cheaper, I just didn’t have the patience to wait for it to come. I found the lace mat and flowers at daiso, the total for the project was $12.00. This too was east to accomplish, all I did was unscrew the hoop, lay the mat on top of the smaller hoop and tighten the hoops together. I then cut off the excess fabric around the hoop and finally, I hot glued the flowers onto the fabric and arranged the flowers to my liking. I think this came out amazing and it was super easy to make. What do y’all think?

I hope y’all enjoyed this little haul and these easy diys as much as I did. Thanks for reading.

Shopping in Japan.

When we were back in the states and my husband would have duty, Target was my favorite place to be. Since moving to Japan, I have been deprived from Target,  I miss strolling the Target aisles, especially the dollar section. Roaming the aisles helped me pass the time so I would not get bored and alone at home. There is only one store on base, the MCX, now do not get me wrong the MCX is great and has great deals but there is not much to see. One of my favorites stores in Japan is this magical dollar store called, Daiso. I call it the dollar store on crack. It kind of puts the dollar store in the states to shame. Obviously, the merchandise they sell is Japanese, but they sell the cutest things; from toilet scrubbers and house goods to cheap Disney things. I love that place, but it still can not replace Target. I think the japanese heard our cry because they opened a store called, Nitori, it is like a japanese Target. Since, my husband dreads coming to stores with me, Jason and I took a little trip to check it out. It was not as good as Target, but it did the trick. They had the cutest christmas decorations and decor. I will definitely be going back to stroll the aisles and pretend it is Target. Although, I do not have a Target or a Hobby Lobby and I have to wait forever and a day for my packages to arrive. Japan has been an amazing, once in a life time experience. Many more new experiences and adventures to come.
