Osaka Trip & Haul.

Hello Beautifuls! I am back from a very much needed girls trip! It was super fun but, very exhausting at the same time. We were nonstop walking and having a blast. I couldn’t think of anyone else to have shared this experience with than my Nugz. We are literally the same person!

On our first night in Osaka, we hit the town and walked the famous street of Dotonbori. This street is filled with food vendors and good shopping. What more could we ask for, right? It was a great experience, all the lights and people just gave me an amazing feeling. I just couldn’t believe I was out here on this once in a life time trip.

I bought some goodies and of course Japan is home of my favorite kitty, Hello Kitty! So, most of my goodies are Hello Kitty. Haha. I have no regrets!!! I bought this Osaka Hello Kitty shirt and coin purse at one of the many stores they had in Dotonbori. My 8 year old self was super happy. The mug and cute Japanese stickers I bought in a Starbucks mixed with a bookstore. Since, I have a fluffy Akita, I bought two Akita stickers and a camera sticker. I bought my squishy a booklet of Cars stickers with Japanese writing. Yes, I do have stickers everywhere now. The last thing I bought in Dotonbori was something I could not pass up and was surprised to even have found a Pandora here in Japan. Look how darn cute this Japanese doll is. I couldn’t pass this charm up. It’s the perfect addition to my bracelet and to remember the memories I have in Japan.

On our second day, we headed to the Kobe Herb Garden. We rode on a trolley to the top of the mountain, it was a beautiful view of the city and water. It was a bit cooler out so not all the flowers were blooming but, we found a cute little spot to get a few pictures.

The little souvenirs I got from the garden was a little tea/coffee spoon and two postcards that I will be framing and putting up in my glam room. I also bought my nugz & I matching bracelets.

The third day was the best day ever! Universal Studios Japan was so much fun and I still couldn’t believe I went there. It’s definitely a lot different than the Universal Studios in Orlando. The biggest difference is every ride is in Japanese so, we didn’t understand anything. But, it was so much fun. I visited the Wizard World and let me tell you I am not a fan of this world. Maybe, if I didn’t walk into being hangry, it could’ve been different. Since, I walked in hangry and not knowing the food would be so on theme, I was kinda annoyed when I had to $20 for food that I didn’t like and on top of overpaying for food I didn’t like they wanted to go and charge me twice! Long story short, I wasn’t happy but, once I got food in me I was a lot happier! The rest of the day was a blast!

I couldn’t go to Universal Studios Japan and not get some goodies. Once again, Hello Kitty is in the mix. I got me a shirt and a pencil. For one of my friends that’s pretty obsessed with the wizard world I got her a key holder. Lastly, I got my squishy the cute teddy bear from despicable me and now it’s his favorite thing and he calls it his baby. So cute!!!

By the day we were heading back home, we were about done. So, we just took it slow and went to the biggest Ferris wheel ever! It was a tad bit windy and it scared the crap out of us when we were so high up.

We then went to the train and got ready to head home. We grabbed some goodies from the station such as KRISPY KREME DONUTS! It’s in capital letters because it’s been a long while since I’ve had a good donut and I think it’s about the only Krispy Kreme in Japan.

What We Got For Christmas.

img_4217

Hello Beautifuls! I hope you all had a great Christmas with friends and family. We had a great Christmas Eve with our friends. This is our second Christmas in Japan, for some reason this year it hit me super hard that I was not with my family. To be honest, im still a little down, but I have to push through and just think that we just have a year and a few months left. Thank God I had amazing friends that came over to celebrate this holiday with. My friend I call my nugget bestie and her husband came over and we had a great time. This was our first time ever doing a Christmas dinner, I think for it being our first time cooking a big meal, we kinda nailed it.

So, let me start of by saying I’m not a cook or baker by any means. Now, y’all may think mashed potatoes aren’t that hard to make but, for someone that has never done homemade anything, it was a big deal for me and may I add they came out super yummy. The other thing I made were Texas sheet cake cookies, I got the recipe from Pinterest! The fact that it didn’t turn into a Pinterest fail is huge and they came out super yummy. Another, Pinterest recipe I saw and managed to not mess it up was making a crockpot creamy hot cocoa, best hot cocoa I have ever tasted. It was a proud moment for me and it gave me a little bit of confidence in the kitchen. My husband also threw it down in the kitchen he made a delicious prime rib roast, a cheese cornbread casserole, and some peanut butter balls. Overall, it was a great time and very blessed to have been able to celebrate this holiday with my little family and friends.

Now, onto what we got for Christmas, we will start with the person that got all of the gifts under my tiny tree, my squishy face.  He sure got spoiled by my parents this year, they got him a power wheel Silverado, shoes, clothes, and some learning toys. Santa brought him cars, Lighting McQueen stuff, more clothes, and t-ball gear. We tried to not get him useless toys they we will be stumbling on in two days. My aunt also sent him some more clothes, so you can say he is somewhat set on the clothes. Our fur baby got the biggest bone ever and he sure is enjoying it.

This Christmas I didn’t get much, like I mentioned before we are saving up to go to Okinawa to visit our friends. From my hubby I got grey UGGS, from my amazing parents and brothers I got money I’m still debating on what to get, my in laws and Brent’s grandmothers also sent Jason some cash. My friends really out did themselves this year, like omg! My boo boo kitty, send me a Kate Spade tumblr and the cutest necklace ever, it made me cry. My other bestie sent me a gorgeous rose gold Minnie necklace, absolutely gorgeous. My nugget bestie got me cute and dainty Japanese earrings and necklace. My friend and old boss got me the new Gabrielle Chanel perfume, she is the bomb. Finally, my friend Taylor got a cricut and made a cute mason jar with my name. I’m a sucker for mason jars. I treated myself to a cute mug that gives me Henri Bendel vibes and a sparkly Starbucks tumblr. I mean how amazing are my friends, I am beyond blessed to have them in my life. Love you guys soooo much!

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.

It came in flash it seems but, the most wonderful time of the year is here! It’s the first day of December and we already had a day full of winter fun. In the afternoon, since my hubby volunteered to be Santa Claus, I went with some friends to the winter market on base and did a little shopping. The winter market is a place where little home shops can be in one place and sell their products. Yes, you read that right, my husband loves dressing up like Santa Claus and surprisingly he doesn’t scare the kids, they actually like him. Haha. Like, I was saying it was a fun time and Jason got to take a picture with Santa aka daddy. We were scared that he would recognize him and pull down his beard and ruin the illusion for the other kids but, he didn’t. Thank goodness.

Later in the evening, we went to the tree lighting event. There were brownies, hot cocoa, delicious apple cider, yummy food, and Christmas music. This was a great experience and to have been surrounded with friends made it so much more fun. It wasn’t the tree lighting at the Rocker Feller but, it was beautiful nonetheless. We made great memories already and it’s just the first day of December, I can only hope there’s more fun to come.

Sassy Sister’s

Hello Beautifuls! It has been a hot minute since I have posted. What can I say? Life got to me. Between being a mommy, wife, student, and an employee, it has been quiet the ride. Now, I have always done school and worked full-time, but I didn’t have a toddler running around making leaving the house on time impossible or when you’re in the middle of writing an essay and he wants some a loving from mommy, making me lose my train of thought. But, I’m getting through it and I’m on my last week of school and I can’t wait. I will be taking a little time off, because I don’t want this stress while visiting my family in Florida.

But, enough of my struggles let’s get into this special post. This is my second feature on my blog, if you would like to check out my last feature go ahead click on the link Double The Cuteness. It is about my cousin and her life with twin boys. This time I got the privilege to interview these three amazing, sassy, and fashionista sisters, The Nettes Make sure you all check out their blog, its amazing, if you’re a shopaholic, you’ll love their blog for sure!

img_7027-1

These three awesome sisters names are Raenette, Antionette, and Anjanette. I just love their names, they are basically the southern version of the Kardashians. Haha! I’m very happy they took out some time out of their busy schedules and shopping trips to answer a few questions I had.

Q1: When did y’all start blogging?

A: I guess by now you know we started our blog in November but didn’t shout it to the world until December.

Q2: Why did y’all decide to start your blog?

Raenette: The blog was really my sister Antoinette’s idea. She was always looking at different blogs & she said, “hey, we can do as good as these chicks” and here we are! Lol! Plus, most blogs are geared towards younger folks & we wanted to show folks that you can look stylish no matter the age.

Antionette: We started the Blog because we thought it would be a fun way to share our love of fashion and shopping with others. We have always loved putting outfits together, so we figured maybe we could make a go of it. We also wanted to show 50+ women that they can still look hot and stylish and not spend a fortune.

Anjanette: Started it bc we wanted to share our love of fashion with others. And to let everyone know that it’s not hard or really that time-consuming to look pulled together.

Q3: What is it about fashion that y’all like?

Raenette: I like fashion because it lets me express myself in many different ways. I can’t draw or paint or sew or play an instrument so, fashion is my artistic outlet. What you may be hiding on the inside, you can express through clothes & accessories.

Antionette: I love the way an outfit can express how you’re feeling on any given day. An outfit can show the world “Hey, I’m feeling super sexy today”. Or “Hey, I’m feeling Casual today”. I definitely use fashion to express myself.

Anjanette: What I like about fashion is that it is a creative outlet. It’s a way to stand out and make a statement.

Q4: Who is the inspiration for your style:

Raenette: My mama was my #1 fashion inspiration. When I was younger I used to get a lot of inspiration from magazines & tv. Now, I most of my inspiration comes from friends & family & the general public.

Antionette: My main fashion inspiration will always be my Mama. I too love and admire Victoria Beckham. She’s so classic and badass at the same time. I have always loved Audrey Hepburn as well.

Anjanette: Fashion inspiration of course was Mama and I love Victoria Beckham. Classic.

Q5: Who is the more stylish sister?

Raenette: Anjanette is the biggest risk taker for sure. We’re all fashionable in our own way. I guess it’s in the eye of the beholder.

Antionette: Anjanette is definitely the most daring when it comes to fashion. We are all fashion divas! Lol

Anjanette: And we ALL know which sister is the most stylish!! ME!!! Lol

I’m so happy I got to interview these ladies, they sure are a hoot and most importantly extremely inspirational! They are amazing in every way and are kicking ass in fashion and in life. They are an example that there is no limit in what you can do no matter what size, age, or color! They make me wish I had sisters to go on shopping adventures and steal each others clothes. They are sister goals! Thank you dolls for being a guest on my blog! Make sure you follow their blog Nothing But Nette.

Girly Day With Tay.

Hello Beautifuls! Today was a very much-needed girls day. It has been quite a while since I’ve gone out and did a little shopping without a toddler running around or a nagging husband telling me “hurry up”, “why are you taking so long?”. Today we shopped in peace, it was so nice. We stopped for some coffee at Starbucks, did a little shopping at H&M, went to Louis Vuitton for a little treat for the eyes and to reserve a little something I’ve been eyeing for a while, stopped at a little Luxury thrift store, and finished with some lunch. Even though we went to a lot of places, our mission today was Starbucks. Why, you may ask? Because here in Japan, Sakura season is about to start, which is the cherry blossom season. (this honestly is my favorite season).

Starbucks in Japan came out with a Sakura season collection, about the most beautiful collection ever. I don’t know about y’all ,but I love mugs and tumblers, so I had to get my hands on this pretty collection. I mean look how gorgeous and pink everything is. This is totally my type of esthetic.

The next stop was H&M. I just got a couple of things, it’s not like I can fit in a lot of their clothes. H&M already has sizing problems and being in Japan makes it even worse. But, I can still find some cute stuff that I can fit in. The struggle is real! Today, you will see a lot of pink. At H&M I got two shirts, a cardigan, and the cutest beret. Yes, they are in different shades of pink, I did say at the beginning of this year I wanted to add more pink in my wardrobe. The shirt is so comfy, it is supposed to be a shirt dress but my butt and hips do not allow it to be a dress shirt, so I’ll be wearing it with some leggings. The second shirt is flowy and gives me spring vibes, the sleeves are bell sleeves, which adds a little girly and dressy look to it. The cardigan can be used with anything and knowing me it’ll be worn a lot. It is very thin, so it can be worn during the spring without having a heat stroke. Lastly, the blush pink beret, this was something that I was uncertain on buying, but surprisingly was very cute on me.

The last stop was the luxury thrift store. Japan has the best thrift stores ever, especially when it come to finding luxury items. My friend Taylor is the one that opened my eyes to thrifting. I honestly never even stepped foot in a thrift store until I went with Taylor. I know that sounds snobby, but it just wasn’t my thing. Anyways, at this thrift store I got a Louis Vuitton 4 Key holder. I have been wanting this for while, but I always debated on whether I wanted to pay $200 for something my keys were going to scratch and be tossed around. But, I found one that is in great condition for $70! I mean that is a good amount of money being saved that can go towards something else. I was so happy I was able to find this. I know I will not be loosing my keys any more.

Christmas, family, Love, Present's

A Christmas in Japan.

I hope you all having an amazing Christmas day. Spending this day with family and friends, eating delicious food and opening present’s around the tree. We spent our Christmas Eve with friends and had a blast. I did get a little depressed thinking about not being with our families for the holidays, but being with my little family is the most important. Seeing my little squishy bear and how excited he was to open his present’s made me so happy. He has been trying to get into those presents for a while and he finally got the chance to rip them open. He sure got spoiled this year from his grandparents, friends, and of course us. He is my biggest blessing. My parents always spoil us, even though we are all the way across the world. My fur baby also got a couple goodies under the tree and in his stocking. I, for sure got spoiled this year, my husband went above and beyond. I love my Tiffany’s necklace(pics down below, along with all the other gifts) it is something I will cherish forever. We stayed home , watched some Christmas movies after opening present’s. We also made dinner and desserts for the single marines that are stationed here in Japan  and were not able to go home for the holiday. I can not cook to save my life, so I only made them very festive cupcakes. My husband on the other got all Gordan Ramsey on me and cooked a ham and made cornbread casserole, from scratch. Overall, it was an amazing and blessed day for the Boucha family. I hope you all  have an amazing Christmas with your family and friends! We wish you a Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas, Love, Mommy and Me, Shopping

Christmas is Around the Corner.

There are only three days left until Christmas. Who is prepared and ready for Christmas? Who is not prepared and running around like a chicken with its head cut off? I have always been an early shopper. I start around October or maybe earlier. My husband and I have big families, so it gets expensive. I put extra thought on each gift I give our friends and families. My husband is only responsible for my gift. I shop, pick out, and wrap all the gifts. I am a very impatient person, meaning I start wrapping gift early as well. I am just wrapping up some gifts that have arrived, we are still waiting on more to arrive from our families. Being in Japan, online orders and packages from the states take forever to arrive, therefore when it all arrives it comes in bulk. I would go insane if I saved all the wrapping for last-minute. On top of wrapping all the gifts I buy for my little familia (spanish for family). Our friends and family sent us some Christmas gifts. Jason is the first grandson on my family side, he is crazy spoiled by them. So, on top of wrapping our gifts I have to wrap the dozens of gifts sent my our families for Jason. All the gifts under tree are mainly his. I love Christmas, it is my favorite holiday. I try to make it as special and magical as I can. I know Christmas is not all about the gifts, but I just like giving. It makes me happy, whether it be a gift or baby sitting our friend kids and giving the parents a few hours to themselves.

Making sure Christmas is perfect is so important to me. Growing up my family always made sure we had a great Christmas. We were always with family, laughing and stuffing our faces. Hispanic cooking is the best and I sure am going to miss my daddy’s cooking this year.  We always had what we wanted under tree, alongside with some undies and socks. I use to take those for granted, now as an adult I wish those were in my stocking again. How do you guys prepare for Christmas? What are your traditions? Do you wait for last minute or an early preparer like myself? Let me know how you all handle the holiday stress.
