Family Day At The Zoo.

Hello Beautifuls! I hope you guys had a fantastic weekend and have a great Monday. Well, as great as you can make a Monday be so, throw back a cup of good cup of coffee and start your week off strong.

Anyways, my weekend was full of fun and excitement. It has been a while since we had a little adventure in Japan. On Saturday, we went to a sushi go round with some friends, Jason loves some California rolls. In case you don’t know what a sushi go round is, it’s a place where different types of sushi is going around on a belt line and you can pick from the line up. We thought it was going to be super expensive, but to our surprise it was quite affordable for the amount of sushi we ate. It has become a favorite spot for us now, amoung other amazing restuarants we found this weekend. On Sunday, on our way to the zoo we stopped at this Italian place called, Jolly-Pasta, since the hubby was craving some pizza. We ordered a pie of pizza and a plate of pasta to share and after we ordered a slice of apple pie, by far the most yummiest pie I have ever tasted. Everything was absolutely delicious.

Once, we were done stuffing our faces we were ready to walk it off at the zoo. We went to the Hiroshima City Asa Zoological Park, this was the first time Jason has gone to the zoo and boy, was he excited. The animals were quite close, we saw bamboos, rhinos, turtles, lions and the main animal there the Japanese red panda. It was my favorite animal, it was sooo cute! Jason’s favorite animal was the tiger, when he saw it he roared at it and had his little hand like paw. The hubby was excited to see the chimpanzee, he was a little sad that there were no gorillas there. I was so happy that he was having a great time and it made me so much more happier that the hubby was having a blast too.

After, the zoo we were headed home and we starving, we decided to give this little restaurant close to home a chance and I’m so glad we did. It’s called Cusco, a Peruvian restaurant, y’all dont understand how happy I was to have found this place. It had some of my favorite hispanic dishes, I wanted to order the whole menu. I got some fried yuca and beef empanadas for appetizzers and a lomo saltado for dinner. The struggle is real out here without any hispanic food, but this will do for until we go back to the states. We were ready to go home and relax, Jason was so tired that by the time we came home he was looking for jammies and his bed, he was so tired he put himself to sleep.

Overall, it was a great family outting, we haven’t had time between work and school to go out exploring this great land of Japan. I what our little adventure will be next time…

What I Got For My 25th Birthday.

Hey there beautifuls! As, y’all read from the title, I turned 25 on the 14th of this month. I thank God everyday for blessing me for another year. Each year I learn and grow as a person, whether it be as a wife, a mom, or an overall person. I’m extremely blessed to have been surrounded with my beautiful little family and great friends. They really made this birthday a great one, if it wasn’t for them I probably would’ve been in a ball crying and searching for the best eye cream there is. I know I’m just being dramatic but, in 5 years I’ll be 30, like whattt!?!? I know I’m going to blink and those years will fly on by. By then, I’ll get it together and just think about being “Thirty, Flirty, & Thriving.” Unlike the movie I won’t go back to being 13 years old with just a little bit of pixie dust. But, I sure don’t want to go back to being 13, UGH! Those are some cringeworthy years. Am I right? Anyway, let’s get to what I got for my birthday.

This year I was extremely spoiled by my husband, my parents, my friends, and myself. My amazing husband was not able to be here for my birthday, it was the first time he missed my birthday, but you know that’s the life of the military wife. He went all out like he always does and bought me a Louis Vuitton wallet to match my speedy. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I’m so grateful for having a husband this amazing. Now, onto what I spoiled myself with. I felt like this year was a treat yourself year and that’s exactly what I did. I was able to spoil myself and I bought two things. A Louis Vuitton phone case and something that was on my dream board for sometime, what is it you may ask? Well, they are gold Chanel earrings! I’m so excited that I was able to buy these for myself. I mean look how gorgeous they are!

The next things I’ll show y’all, my parents and friends got me. My parents were sweet enough to send me a bunch of fall decor and a Longchamp, the decor isn’t pictured, because I was too excited and put them up. My bosses gave me a Fitbit, which I was so excited about, I have an Apple Watch but I just forget to charge it everyday and I don’t have to charge the Fitbit for a couple days. Yay! My nugget bestie kept me from having a meltdown about not having my hubby with me for my birthday, she really kept me together. She took me to get a cardio workout by shopping and gave me the cutest gift. She took me back to my Claire’s days and gave me a BFF koala necklace and some yummy macaroons from our favorite bakery. Finally, my amazing, Disney loving, my Serena to my Blair friend, sent me this cute backpack that is very popular in Japan, oh yes, she now lives in Japan too, but in a different part of Japan. I’m truly blessed to have amazing and loving parents and friends.

Got Ink?

Hello beautifuls! I hope y’all have a great Monday and start y’alls week of right. Today’s post I’ll be talking about a little something I did when I was back home stateside. What is that little something I did, you may ask? Well… after a lot of thinking and backing out for years, I finally got my first tattoo! To some people this isn’t a big deal, but for me it was a really big deal. I have been wanting a tattoo for years, there was actually a night when we lived in North Carolina I walked into a place and I was ready to get one. Unfortunately, the one I wanted and where I wanted it was something that I would have to touch up often and I wasn’t about that life. But, I kept thinking of what I would want to get and finding the balls to get one, I really wanted to get something meaningful and very important to me.

I still can’t believe I actually got one, I finally got the nerve and did it. This tattoo has so much meaning to me, it makes me smile every time I look at it. One of the reasons it so special to me is because my baby brother and I were going to get our first tattoos done together and he was sweet enough to pay for mine. It was my Mother’s Day gift from him, I swear I have the sweetest brothers, three to be exact. The second reason is I got something that meant a lot to me, which is the date my baby boy was born. He was an absolute blessing itself.

At the age of 18, I was told by doctors I couldn’t get pregnant due to this syndrome known as PCOS ( Polycystic ovary syndrome). I was always irregular when it came to my period and my body didn’t release eggs. So, I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant. I was told this is a common issue among young women. But, that didn’t matter to me, I couldn’t believe at a young age I was told I couldn’t be a mother. That news broke my heart and I cried to my parents, and told them you guys will never have a grandchild from me. They hugged me and said “Do not listen to these doctors, if it is in Gods will for you to be a mother, you will be a mother”. I always kept that in my mind, but I didn’t stay optimistic about it. When I got married I told my husband that there was a possibility I would never be able to give him a child. Well, like my parents said God had other plans. A year into being married I got pregnant, I still couldn’t believe it! I took so many tests before and they all came out negative, I just gave up. I was so surprised that it was positive that I wasn’t even sure how to read it. I had to ask my sister in law what does two lines mean. Haha. It was a great day.

My first tattoo owns a special place in my heart and it is something that will always make me smile when I look at it. Thanks to my baby brother who pushed me and was right there to hold my hand when I got it. I’m already thinking about what I want my second tattoo to be.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed today’s post.

The Layover From Hell!

Hi there, beautiful people! I hope you all are doing amazing today. Tomorrow is technically my Monday and I’m kind of not looking forward to it, it was so hard to get out of bed this morning. Since, I have showed you all the fun stuff and the goodies I got back home I thought it was time to tell you the struggles I had to go through to get there. So, besides me not wanting to be an adult anymore, I’m coming at y’all with a little story of my crazy experience during my travels back to the states. It sure is an interesting experience and about the most annoying thing I had to go through, it doesn’t help that I did it alone with a two year old.

Let’s start off with the start of my travels, which almost didn’t happen. When I got to the airport and was checking in to board, I didn’t know I had to have my husbands orders. Long story short we had to scramble and figure out how we can get these papers in a hurry. Thank goodness my hubby had his orders in his email and was able to send it to me. The Japanese were so nice and understanding, they even let me skip the line and go right through once we got checked in and they were even apologizing to me for the inconvenience, it just left me so shocked. They are absolutely beautiful people. This situation was just a little hiccup compared to what is next.

My first layover was in China, when we got off the plane onto the flight line, I had to haul a toddler and a carry on across the flight line to take a shuttle to the actual airport, mind you it is hot as all hell and the shuttle had no air conditioning! I was literally melting and Jason wasn’t doing much, because he was being hauled around like a prince but, he was even sweating. Once, we finally got to the airport we had to stand in the longest line I have ever been in to get our visas! Yes, we needed a visa to be in China for like hours. The most annoying thing ever. It about took the entire layover time to get through the visa line, customs, and to get to the other side of this ginormous airport. It felt like it was taking forever. Oh, did I forget to say that while I walked a thousand miles to get to the other side there was no air conditioning! When we got to the terminal there were these cute little Chinese shops and we had like an hour or so to pass so, we went to get snacks and drinks and there was a really cute jade bracelet I wanted to buy but, really debated on spending $150 on it. We finally got on the plane and it was a 13 hour flight from China to Chicago.

When we got to Chicago I thought it would be smooth sailing, I was so wrong! Again, I had to haul a toddler and a carry on a thousand miles to get the other side of this huge airport and we still had to take a train to get to our terminal. Thankfully, this airport had air conditioning. Good thing we had a little bit more time at this layover to change into different clothes and get some Starbucks. Only 3 more hours until we get to Florida from Chicago, we so close and yet, so far. Was it worth it, you may ask? Absolutely! I had the best time with family and I know for sure my squishy bear had a blast as well. Will I do it again? Haha, NO! I will not be going back until our time here in Japan is up and I have my husband to share the responsibility of hauling our child.

On our way back to Japan it wasn’t as bad. We didn’t have to walk all over creation. Although, will still had to take a shuttle in China with no air, I decided to treat myself for all that trouble. I collect Starbucks ” You Are Here” collection and I took the chance to buy a China mug and I was able to buy the jade bracelet, a ring, and a tiny elephant. They are absolutely beautiful. I figured I will never be back here so, why not.

It was truly a crazy and struggling experience. I hope y’all enjoyed this post!

Mini Family Vacation.

Hello Beautifuls! How is y’alls summer going so far? Mine as been filled with family love, laughter, shopping, a lot of shopping, and creating great memories. I’ve been in Florida for about two months, I’ll be heading back to Japan Sunday morning. I can’t believe how fast these months have gone by. It’s going to be so sad to say goodbye to my family again for another year and a half. I will miss them very much and I’m sure they are going to miss us, especially Jason. But, we will be back before you know it.

Since, being back in the states I’ve gone to target so many times I have lost count. I’ve been deprived so, I needed my fix, don’t judge. We’ve done a lot of shopping, I think I’m set for a while and so is Jason. I’ll do a separate post on our big shopping hauls. We’ve gone on little vacations such as, going to North Carolina to see the in laws and going on a spontaneous two day beach trip. I was able to find us the cutest resort right on the beach with like a few hours notice, not days, hours! It turned out to be an amazing trip. I couldn’t ask for any better in laws. We’ve just came back from Orlando, it was Jason’s first time at SeaWorld. He loved all the shows, music, and little water parks. He sure came home pooped. I got the chance to really bond with my not so little brothers, we got on all the rides and just had a lot of fun. So much fun that I now have no voice. Since we couldn’t make it to Disney World and I had to get my Disney fix, we headed down to Disney Springs. I was so happy, I was like a little kid in a candy shop. It was magical. On top of these little trips, I’ve been enjoying the Florida sun, I finally have a tan! Jason has enjoyed both of his grandparents pools, he’s like a little fish. I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. I’m so grateful for my amazing husband for making all this possible.

My Name is Yaneysi and I’m a Shopaholic.

Happy Friyay, beautifuls! I can’t believe I’ve been in Florida for two weeks already, time sure likes to fly by when you’re having fun. Go figure. As, I sit poolside writing this post, I can’t help but be so grateful of how blessed I really am. These pass weeks have been filled with laughter, family love, and lots of shopping, A LOT OF SHOPPING. Not only have I been preparing for my baby boy’s second birthday, but I’ve been taking full advantage of being back in the land where there’s a Target and a Sephora! I’ve been deprived from these places for about a year and a half. It’s a tragedy! So, you can say I’ve been going ham ever since I got here. Just strolling the aisles at Target and having my arm full of swatches at Sephora have been magical. I always do a monthly favorites but, instead I thought I would do a haul of what I’ve got so far. I’ll go by categories from accessories to stationary.

Let’s start of with what my parents got me for Mother’s Day, I got here two days after Mother’s Day but it still counts. My amazing parents got me a Tiffany’s mini heart necklace and Mickey and Minnie kitchen decor. SO CUTE. They are the best.

Now on to the haul, I’ll start with accessories. Target and junk food did a Disney collab its amazing and luckily I was able to get my hands on a few things. I had to contain myself and not buy everything in sight, the struggle is real. Here are a few things I got, some are still available in store and online.

Being back in the states means you can try on clothes without feeling like a fat cow. I love Japan, but their stores aren’t big butt and big hip friendly. So, it was obvious I would buy some cute clothes. I haven’t gone too crazy since I’ve got a party to pay for in a week. But, I couldn’t help myself buying these cute dresses and romper at Target. You can find these online and save 20% off the two dresses.

I knew coming home I would go shopping so, I didn’t bring a lot of shoes. Besides missing Target and Sephora, I’ve missed the discounts store like Marshall’s and TJMaxx . I can always find something good, that something good this time are these cute Jack Rogers sandals for $50! Like Oh My Gosh! I’ve been on the hunt for cute strappy heels and Target came through with these blushy pink heels. I’m obsessed.

On to my favorite thing, makeup! I’ve found my new favorite foundation, my brother was sweet enough to buy me the NARS foundation for Mother’s Day. If y’all go back to my favorite makeup products you’ll see I have the tarte shape tape concealer, let’s just say I scraped and scraped every bit I could till I could get a new. It can now rest in peace in makeup heaven as I got a new one. The other two products are kind of an impulsive buy, but I have no regrets. I never do when it comes to makeup. Lol

Finally, there is no way anyone can go Target and not get pulled in to the dollar section, if you say you can walk right by it, you’re a whole lie. I know I can’t just walk by, so I got a few cute stationary things and pool necessities. I means it’s only $1-$3. Oh let’s not forget good old Walmart, who is really stepping up there game. I picked up some cute cases for my phone and iPad, super cute and cheap. I was sure surprised to see Kendall and Kylie cases, I love the Kardashian/Jenner Klan, I found a cute case with a matching pop socket, tots cute. The last thing is the rose gold phone case wallet I got at charming Charlie’s, another store where I had to contain myself, it’s so esthetically pleasing. Long story short, Florida is a dangerous place for me and credit card. Lol

Tired All Day, Awake All Night.

Hello beautifuls! After many months of waiting to come back to the states we have finally made it to the sunshine state, and I couldn’t be any happier. I sure didn’t like I was for the first couple of days, the jet lag was something serious and it didn’t help that I did this trip by myself with a toddler. Thank goodness my little squishy was well behaved and had his own seat. Jason had no problem falling asleep on the plane, as for myself, or so much. I don’t know how some people can fall asleep on an airplane, for me it’s the most uncomfortable place to sleep.

Now, we are finally on the right time and caught up on our sleep. But, you best believe the jet lag didn’t stop me from shopping and going into the red bullseye called, Target. I will do a haul post soon. It just feels so good to fit in clothes and have people understand what you are asking for. Not to mention getting my favorite Starbucks drink that Japan doesn’t have. I’ve gone to Starbucks about a good 10 times in the week and half that I’ve been here. No regrets! There’s so many places I want to go see and so many places I want to go shop. So far I’ve been to Target about three times, PINK (mama needed some new undies & bras), ULTA, Sephora, the Disney store, and good ol Walmart. I will definitely keep y’all posted with all the fun stuff that is yet to come.
