New Makeup? Yes, Please!!!

Hello Beautifuls! I’m in Florida and I guess you can say I’m finally rested and up to writing a blog. We got here about three weeks ago, and in those weeks I have really been getting my shopping and eating on. On top of my “treat yo self” attitude, My baby brothers have been spoiling us too. They are the cutest!

I’ll be sharing the new makeup I’ve gotten today. I’ll do another post of the clothes and accessories! Yes, they have to be divided into two. I’m telling ya, my “treat yo self” motto has been going hard here. Since, I’ve slowly been purchasing these item, I didn’t notice how much I’ve accumulated until now. Good thing I didn’t bring that much makeup with me this time.

Only one of the products I bought was a replacement and that was the tarte shapetape concealer. That is my ride or die concealer. I’ve been using it for quite some time now. If you haven’t given it a try I suggest y’all head to an Ulta and give it a go.

Besides the tarte shapetape, I also purchased a tarte primer, this is the first time I’m trying this primer and so far I love it. I hate the super matte, dry makeup look and about all the primers I’ve had before do just that. Since, it’s summer I wanted a more glowy look and the tarte base tape is a hydrating primer and it gives me a great moisturizing feel and leaves my skin glowing. It’s a new fav for sure.

Another primer I got to give it a try is more on the affordable side. It’s the infamous elf poreless putty primer, it is told that it’s a dupe for the more high end tatcha silk canvas primer. Which is another primer I wanted to test out but, didn’t really want to spend fifty something dollars on it. This dupe is only $8 and you can’t beat that. According, to Jeffree Star it’s does the same job as the tatcha one. I haven’t been able to give it a try since I’m so attached to the tarte one. But, I’ll give it a try and give an update.

Moving onto some foundations. Both are new products and had launched while I was here. I was so excited to get to try these ASAP, being in Japan we don’t really have access to new products. I’ve tried both and they are amazeballs!!!

The Juvias Place is one that took the makeup industry by storm. It’s so full coverage a small dot goes such a long way. Like holy cow! The price is the cherry on top, it’s only $20, like it can’t get any better than that!

The second foundation is the hello happy from benefit. This is not as thick or full coverage as the previous foundation but, it gives me the coverage I need and it gives me the glowy look I want. It’s perfect for this hot weather in Florida. I’ve been using this foundation the most since I got it and the packaging is the cutest.

This product is a powder foundation, I took the recommendation from one of my favorite YouTuber, Nicole Guerriero. She wasn’t playing with this one!!! If you don’t like to put in the time to blend out or you just simply don’t have time, this is the makeup forever powder for you! It’s like no other powder I’ve tried before. It’s blurring and the coverage is out of this world. It’s a definite favorite for me and will always be.

I also picked up another makeup forever product, one of my favorite blushes fell and broke into dust. Tragic! So I had to get another blush. This blush is so pretty and a little goes along way. Like I have to be careful or I’ll end up looking like a clown in these streets. For $25 you get the blush and refill pan. It can be swapped out for a bronzer or highlighter.

The last products are more skincare. The first product my sweet baby brother got for me along with another thing that I’ll share later in a different post. This glow oil makes me look like a have the skin of a goddess. My skin feels and looks so smooth and the smell screams summer times. Before I go home I need to buy another bottle I need to glow all year round.

Second product is a lip mask. It’s suppose to leave your lips smooth and reduce lines. I haven’t given it a 100% try but I did test it out for a few and for the amount of time it did make my lips smooth. I’ll give an update later on.

And lastly is a somewhat new product that’s hit the scene. It’s definitely new to me! My favorite youtuber Nicole Guerriero raves about this sunscreen. I have never been a person that protected myself from the sun but, the older I’m getting I would like to save my face from wrinkles and dark spots. Also, I hate putting sunscreen on, it smells gross, it’s feel so nasty on and it’s a total b*tch to take off but, this product allows you to protect from the sun and put on makeup on top of it. It’s sort of a oil consistency and at the same time hydrates your skin. It’s pretty amazing! You can find it in Sephora or on their website. For a while they were always sold out and this was the last one they had in store. So, I’m guessing it’s a great product. I’ll give it a try and give an update along with the other products.

Happy Birthday To My Love!

Hello beautifuls!!! Today’s post is dedicated to my ride or die, my best friend, the love of my life; My Husband! We have been celebrating his birthday all weekend long leading up to his birthday today.

He turned 25 and now he’s as old as me, until I turn 26 in a few months and feel like an old fart all over again. We started of the celebration with going to buy his big gift. I’ve never seen him so gunho about anything our entire marriage. This man is super hard to shop for, he deserves the world but, rather have a sticker type man. So, this year he wanted a kayak and I was so excited I finally had a great gift to get him. Friday night I sorta tricked him into coming to the store with me to get his gift. I’m a tiny person there was no way I would be able to carry and put a kayak on the car. He had no idea he was getting a kayak that day. Let’s just say he was like a little kid that saw a mountain of presents under the tree on Christmas morning. His excitement made me sooo happy.

After, dropping of the kayak, we had to go get him and Jason some life vest but, not any kind of vest, a fisherman vest. Haha. That’s right, my man now is a fisherman or he wants to be. What kind of wife would I be to kill a mans dreams. Hahaha.

Moving onto Saturday morning, I took him to get a pedicure, we use to get them all the time in the states and it has been a while for him. He now says he’s sliding in his boots. After, the pedi, we headed to this restaurant my nail lady recommended. It was a 50s diner and had pretty good American food. Headed to the restaurant and it was the cutest place I’ve been in Japan, restaurant wise. They Marilyn Monroe and Elvis everywhere, a jukebox, and all things 50s. Besides, the amazing 50s aesthetics, the food was delicious. I didn’t even take a picture of how good it was. But, I did take a picture of our yummy dessert. When we were done with our parfait, we headed out to the backyard where they had some tables, a swing, and a pond with koi fish. It was so beautiful and we are definitely going back.

On Sunday we took the kayak for a swim in the lakes of Japan. I stayed on short, due my fear of open waters but, that’s a story for a different time. Both my babies were ready for some kayak fun. They had in their life vests and were off. I thought my toddler would be overboard in a matter of seconds but surprisingly he actually stayed calm and enjoyed the ride. I may have lost my husband for the majority of the weekend but, it’s totally worth it. The happiness on his face was everything.

Monday was a work day so, we didn’t do much. We were pretty tired from our exciting weekend.

Tuesday was his birthday, so after work Jason gave him presents, he got daddy some under armor running shorts and a champion sweatshirt. We then went to dinner at chili’s and stuffed our faces and Jason stole his birthday dessert.

It was an amazing birthday filled with fun and some spoiling. Is there any other way to celebrate a birthday?

Happy Birthday My Love!

March Favorites!

Hello beautifuls! I can’t believe I’m telling y’all about my March Favorites already, time is sure flying by. I honestly don’t mind time flying by, cause the faster the months go, the faster I can go back home.

My first favorite is obviously my girls trip with my nugz. It was so much fun and it was a very much needed mini vacation. Full of cute outfits, shopping, and amazing places, I think I’m going to need a girls trip a lot more often.

On that trip I bought the cutest charm ever! I’ve been wearing my bracelet ever since I put the charm on it. I’m obsessed!

Moving on to the my next fav this month, is this new band and cover I got for my Apple Watch. Bought both things for $14 at target.

It wouldn’t be my monthly favorites if there wasn’t a little bit of makeup in the mix. The first product is a repurchase, I’ve had the Too Faced foundation before but, I took a break from it for a while. I have fallen in love with it again. Next, is a new item and probably my favorite thing to use in my makeup routine. This Too Faced Primer Powder, it’s like pure magic in a bottle. It smooths my face and makes my makeup look flawless. This is something I will purchase always. I don’t know what I was doing without this. Last item is a red Anastasia Beverly Hill liquid lipstick. I’m pretty obsessed with reds recently, I feel like a hot mama with a red lip. It’s never a bad thing to feel good.

In my Luxury haul I posted last month I talked about my Chanel Megan Hess book, it’s the perfect coffee table book so, I couldn’t help myself to buy another. The addition is the New York fashion illustration book. It has amazing illustrations, she is truly talented. I will for sure be buying more of these beautiful books.

Finally, my forever favorite candle from bath and body works was sent by my mom. The packaging is pink and it smells amazing. It couldn’t be anymore perfect. If you ever waltz into the store I high suggest you take a sniff at this yummy candle.

New Years Goals!

Hello Beautifuls! Happy New Year’s to all of you beauties. I hope you all had an amazing time ringing in the New Year with family and friends. We kept it really simple at the Boucha home, we went out to dinner and were home by 9pm, it was a wild night. I was able to call my mom from the future, which was pretty funny and so weird that I was already in the year 2019 and my parents where waking up on New Years Eve. Since, we were so “wild” we went on a little adventure and took Jason ice skating for the first time. It was about the cutest thing I have ever seen. Before, getting on the ice he spotted a little train and it was the first thing he wanted to ride. He has a little obsession with trains or as he calls them “choochoo”, he had his money ready for his train fare and everything. Jason didn’t do much skating due to him going all limp noodle when he was put on the ice so, daddy did much of the skating and pushing him around. I stood on the sidelines and took as many pictures and videos as I could and I didn’t trust myself on the ice with my squishy or trust my husband to get good pictures. Needless to say, we all had a great time and made some awesome memories with my little family. Look how cute my little squishy looked all geared up for the ice.

Now, onto a little rewind of my goals last year and my new goals for this year. In the year 2018, I felt like I accomplished a lot of the goals I set for myself. Last year, I wanted to revamp my wardrobe and I actually did it. Living in Japan, most of the women are so well put together so, I felt inspired to step up my game. I also set a goal for my education, and I’m getting closer to finishing my certification course. Last year, I put up some items I wanted to get and I am so grateful that I achieved getting all of the items I wanted. One of the biggest goal I had last year was going home and seeing my family. Although, I accomplished some of my goals 2018 through in some surprises my way but, who doesn’t like surprises.

img_4667

My 2019 goals have little less materialistic and more travel and working on myself. This year my main goal is going to Tokyo Disneyland, even if all my other goals don’t happen, going to Tokyo Disneyland will make 2019 an amazing year. Along, with going to Disneyland, I would like to travel to different places in Japan. One of the places that we are for sure going to this year is Okinawa, to see the beautiful beaches and spend time with our friends. In 2019, I would like to lose a few pounds, I’m not trying to be a Victoria Secret model or anything, I would just like to go back to pre baby weight. I want to work on reading more books and watching less Netflix, I want to be the example for my son and at the age he is at right now he copies everything mommy and daddy does. I’m hoping I will be able to potty train my toddler this year, so this can go one or two ways I either go crazy by the end or I’m one happy mama and I have a potty trained toddler. Sooooo, wish me luck! Finally, I would LOVE to reach 100 followers or more here on my blog by the end of the year.

Proud To Be A Military Wife.

IMG_3324

Today’s post is inspired by a video my lovely friend Elizabeth posted on her channel talking about “Why She Loves Being A Military Wife”. I have always felt blessed being a military spouse, some people don’t get what being a military spouse is. While it does have amazing benefits, it also comes with crazy sacrifices. I’ll start with the reasons why I love being a military spouse and then I’ll get into not so loving parts.

Getting into the first reason why I love being a military spouse is the amazing benefits we have like 100% insurance and housing. I was able to give birth to our beautiful baby boy without having to worry about medical bills. Housing is another great benefit, we either have the choice to stay on base rent free or rent a home off base and be given extra money to cover the costs. Since, we’ve been married we’ve lived on base and haven’t had a bad experience since, well, home wise… people that’s a different story. Haha.

In addition, to the previous reasons I love being a military wife because, it lets us travel the world. If you have been following me for a while y’all know that we are stationed in Japan. Never in a million years did I think I would ever get to see Japan let alone live here for three years. Not only do we get to see different parts of world, but the most important reason is I’m blessed enough to be a stay at home mom. I get to see my squishy grow and see him learn new things everyday. It is a great blessing to be able to stay home and not be financially struggling. I get to only focus on school and my home, you know make sure my husband and child are fed and has clean underwear. Lol. With my husband being in the military once he reaches eight years of services, he can transfer something that is called the GI bill, which gives Jason the opportunity to go to college and have it all paid for.

To say the least, being a military wife it has given me the amazing blessing of meeting greats friends who now we basically consider our little military family. Even though we are spread in different places and may not talk to each other everyday we know that we are there for each other whenever it is needed. Making friends in the military is super important because, like I said before some people just don’t understand what we go through, not even family can understand as well as another military spouse will. So, thank you to my little military family for always being there for me.

Now, onto the sacrifices we have to make as part as being a military wife. Some people look at our lives as being luxurious and being lucky that we can stay home without having to worry about bills and such. Let me tell you, it gets on my ever lasting nerve when people compare their lives and tell me I am lucky I don’t have to worry about bills and we get paid so well that I can stay home and not worry about things most civilians have to worry about. Yes, it’s true I don’t have to worry about these things and yes, my husband is able to give me a luxury every once in a while, but it ain’t all rainbows and butterflies I’ll tell you that. I hate the fact that people only see the good things but, never seem to think or see the sacrifices. One of them being, my husband is not always with us, he can be gone for days, weeks, or even months at a time. It is not always for sure he will be home on time to say goodnight to our child. Being in the military us, wives, need to get used to the words “I Don’t Know” nothing is ever for sure in the military. My husband could be called out to war in a second and there’s nothing I can do. The people who think the pay is so great, don’t think about when my husband comes home late he doesn’t get paid overtime. He can be gone from 5am to 10pm, that’s way past an 8 hour day.

Although, we get to live in different parts of the world, it is a struggle to be so far away from family. Only being able to face time, not being able to be with family on the holidays. Many families have to deal with family members being deployed. Heck, I don’t even know if my husband will be here for Christmas. Like I said we have to get used to the words “I Don’t Know”.

Nevertheless, I love being a military wife, it is a great honor to stand next to a man in uniform who is serving our country. This isn’t a life many can handle but, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Family Day At The Zoo.

Hello Beautifuls! I hope you guys had a fantastic weekend and have a great Monday. Well, as great as you can make a Monday be so, throw back a cup of good cup of coffee and start your week off strong.

Anyways, my weekend was full of fun and excitement. It has been a while since we had a little adventure in Japan. On Saturday, we went to a sushi go round with some friends, Jason loves some California rolls. In case you don’t know what a sushi go round is, it’s a place where different types of sushi is going around on a belt line and you can pick from the line up. We thought it was going to be super expensive, but to our surprise it was quite affordable for the amount of sushi we ate. It has become a favorite spot for us now, amoung other amazing restuarants we found this weekend. On Sunday, on our way to the zoo we stopped at this Italian place called, Jolly-Pasta, since the hubby was craving some pizza. We ordered a pie of pizza and a plate of pasta to share and after we ordered a slice of apple pie, by far the most yummiest pie I have ever tasted. Everything was absolutely delicious.

Once, we were done stuffing our faces we were ready to walk it off at the zoo. We went to the Hiroshima City Asa Zoological Park, this was the first time Jason has gone to the zoo and boy, was he excited. The animals were quite close, we saw bamboos, rhinos, turtles, lions and the main animal there the Japanese red panda. It was my favorite animal, it was sooo cute! Jason’s favorite animal was the tiger, when he saw it he roared at it and had his little hand like paw. The hubby was excited to see the chimpanzee, he was a little sad that there were no gorillas there. I was so happy that he was having a great time and it made me so much more happier that the hubby was having a blast too.

After, the zoo we were headed home and we starving, we decided to give this little restaurant close to home a chance and I’m so glad we did. It’s called Cusco, a Peruvian restaurant, y’all dont understand how happy I was to have found this place. It had some of my favorite hispanic dishes, I wanted to order the whole menu. I got some fried yuca and beef empanadas for appetizzers and a lomo saltado for dinner. The struggle is real out here without any hispanic food, but this will do for until we go back to the states. We were ready to go home and relax, Jason was so tired that by the time we came home he was looking for jammies and his bed, he was so tired he put himself to sleep.

img_0661

Overall, it was a great family outting, we haven’t had time between work and school to go out exploring this great land of Japan. I what our little adventure will be next time…

Hello, Fall!

Hello, Beautifuls! We have approached my favorite season, ever. Although, it technically isn’t fall yet, but, in my mind once it hits September; it is fall for me. There are so many reasons why I love fall, the first being my birthday is in October and this year I will be turning 25 years old. Only five more years until my 30th birthday. AAHH! The other reasonsI love the fall season is the weather starts to get chilly and my makeup isn’t sliding off my face, the fashion, and lastly, I love the decor.

I start decorating on the 31st so, my house can be ready for fall the first day of September. I don’t decorate for Halloween I just decorate for fall. I take decorating for fall and Christmas very seriously. My husband just looks at me all crazy, but, it makes me soo happy. This year Jason can actually understand and enjoy the decoration, he likes it and helped me set up some things, and yes he has not touched them since. He is really good with not messing with it. Some of the decorations I’ve had for some time, sadly, it is really hard to find to fall items here in Japan. The Japanese are really into Halloween, but like said I don’t decorate for Halloween. Today, I attempted to go out and see if I could find some things, but no luck. Out of five stores I was able to find four fall items at Nitori and of course they had an abundance of Halloween things. My only hope is that the store on base puts out some decor soon and I’m just waiting for a good fall care package from my amazing madre, she always comes through. Even though, I couldn’t find more decor, I did the best with what I had and it gives me so much joy. Most of it came from the dollar section at target, the dollar tree, and the floral and leaves came from Daiso. Thank goodness I’m was able to bring back some fall candles from bath and body works when I was back home. So for now, I am so happy with how my house looks and smells.

Where do y’all get your decorations? Are y’all sad summer is over? Are y’all ready for fall like I am?
