Saying Goodbye To The Tori Gate.

Hello beautifuls! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on here, I miss y’all! How y’all been? How are y’all spending your Memorial Day weekend?

We had a pretty adventurous weekend. We started off by going to the island of Miyajima to see the Tori Gate before it went down to be reconstructed. It will be going under construction this June and will be down for two years. We will be leaving Japan next year. It was the prefect opportunity to go on a little adventure and get a picture and create memories before we depart.

This island is also known as deer island, as there are wild deer everywhere. It’s not advise to feed them or they will stalk you forever. Jason was frightened at first but, then got use to them and wanted to pet them. Besides the deers, it was nice to see the architecture and shrines.(It’s not allowed to take pictures of the shrines). The hubby and squishy got some ice cream and I, of course got some Starbucks. The whole island is so beautiful, it truly is an experience.

Today, Memorial Day, we went over to a friends house and had a cookout. Being with our military family and eating was a great way to spend this day. I’m truly blessed to have my husband home everyday. My heart goes out to all the families that have lost their loved ones fighting for our amazing country. This day is for you, you may be gone but never forgotten.

Happy Birthday To My Love!

Hello beautifuls!!! Today’s post is dedicated to my ride or die, my best friend, the love of my life; My Husband! We have been celebrating his birthday all weekend long leading up to his birthday today.

He turned 25 and now he’s as old as me, until I turn 26 in a few months and feel like an old fart all over again. We started of the celebration with going to buy his big gift. I’ve never seen him so gunho about anything our entire marriage. This man is super hard to shop for, he deserves the world but, rather have a sticker type man. So, this year he wanted a kayak and I was so excited I finally had a great gift to get him. Friday night I sorta tricked him into coming to the store with me to get his gift. I’m a tiny person there was no way I would be able to carry and put a kayak on the car. He had no idea he was getting a kayak that day. Let’s just say he was like a little kid that saw a mountain of presents under the tree on Christmas morning. His excitement made me sooo happy.

After, dropping of the kayak, we had to go get him and Jason some life vest but, not any kind of vest, a fisherman vest. Haha. That’s right, my man now is a fisherman or he wants to be. What kind of wife would I be to kill a mans dreams. Hahaha.

Moving onto Saturday morning, I took him to get a pedicure, we use to get them all the time in the states and it has been a while for him. He now says he’s sliding in his boots. After, the pedi, we headed to this restaurant my nail lady recommended. It was a 50s diner and had pretty good American food. Headed to the restaurant and it was the cutest place I’ve been in Japan, restaurant wise. They Marilyn Monroe and Elvis everywhere, a jukebox, and all things 50s. Besides, the amazing 50s aesthetics, the food was delicious. I didn’t even take a picture of how good it was. But, I did take a picture of our yummy dessert. When we were done with our parfait, we headed out to the backyard where they had some tables, a swing, and a pond with koi fish. It was so beautiful and we are definitely going back.

On Sunday we took the kayak for a swim in the lakes of Japan. I stayed on short, due my fear of open waters but, that’s a story for a different time. Both my babies were ready for some kayak fun. They had in their life vests and were off. I thought my toddler would be overboard in a matter of seconds but surprisingly he actually stayed calm and enjoyed the ride. I may have lost my husband for the majority of the weekend but, it’s totally worth it. The happiness on his face was everything.

Monday was a work day so, we didn’t do much. We were pretty tired from our exciting weekend.

Tuesday was his birthday, so after work Jason gave him presents, he got daddy some under armor running shorts and a champion sweatshirt. We then went to dinner at chili’s and stuffed our faces and Jason stole his birthday dessert.

It was an amazing birthday filled with fun and some spoiling. Is there any other way to celebrate a birthday?

Happy Birthday My Love!

Osaka Trip & Haul.

Hello Beautifuls! I am back from a very much needed girls trip! It was super fun but, very exhausting at the same time. We were nonstop walking and having a blast. I couldn’t think of anyone else to have shared this experience with than my Nugz. We are literally the same person!

On our first night in Osaka, we hit the town and walked the famous street of Dotonbori. This street is filled with food vendors and good shopping. What more could we ask for, right? It was a great experience, all the lights and people just gave me an amazing feeling. I just couldn’t believe I was out here on this once in a life time trip.

I bought some goodies and of course Japan is home of my favorite kitty, Hello Kitty! So, most of my goodies are Hello Kitty. Haha. I have no regrets!!! I bought this Osaka Hello Kitty shirt and coin purse at one of the many stores they had in Dotonbori. My 8 year old self was super happy. The mug and cute Japanese stickers I bought in a Starbucks mixed with a bookstore. Since, I have a fluffy Akita, I bought two Akita stickers and a camera sticker. I bought my squishy a booklet of Cars stickers with Japanese writing. Yes, I do have stickers everywhere now. The last thing I bought in Dotonbori was something I could not pass up and was surprised to even have found a Pandora here in Japan. Look how darn cute this Japanese doll is. I couldn’t pass this charm up. It’s the perfect addition to my bracelet and to remember the memories I have in Japan.

On our second day, we headed to the Kobe Herb Garden. We rode on a trolley to the top of the mountain, it was a beautiful view of the city and water. It was a bit cooler out so not all the flowers were blooming but, we found a cute little spot to get a few pictures.

The little souvenirs I got from the garden was a little tea/coffee spoon and two postcards that I will be framing and putting up in my glam room. I also bought my nugz & I matching bracelets.

The third day was the best day ever! Universal Studios Japan was so much fun and I still couldn’t believe I went there. It’s definitely a lot different than the Universal Studios in Orlando. The biggest difference is every ride is in Japanese so, we didn’t understand anything. But, it was so much fun. I visited the Wizard World and let me tell you I am not a fan of this world. Maybe, if I didn’t walk into being hangry, it could’ve been different. Since, I walked in hangry and not knowing the food would be so on theme, I was kinda annoyed when I had to $20 for food that I didn’t like and on top of overpaying for food I didn’t like they wanted to go and charge me twice! Long story short, I wasn’t happy but, once I got food in me I was a lot happier! The rest of the day was a blast!

I couldn’t go to Universal Studios Japan and not get some goodies. Once again, Hello Kitty is in the mix. I got me a shirt and a pencil. For one of my friends that’s pretty obsessed with the wizard world I got her a key holder. Lastly, I got my squishy the cute teddy bear from despicable me and now it’s his favorite thing and he calls it his baby. So cute!!!

By the day we were heading back home, we were about done. So, we just took it slow and went to the biggest Ferris wheel ever! It was a tad bit windy and it scared the crap out of us when we were so high up.

We then went to the train and got ready to head home. We grabbed some goodies from the station such as KRISPY KREME DONUTS! It’s in capital letters because it’s been a long while since I’ve had a good donut and I think it’s about the only Krispy Kreme in Japan.

Girls Trip Here We Come!

Hello Beautifuls! I am full of excitement as I finish packing for my first ever girls trip! My nugget bestie and I will be going to Osaka. It’s another big city here in Japan, I’ve never been before and the excitement is overwhelming. This will be the first time ever I go on a trip without my hubby or baby boy. I’m excited to have some me time but, I know for sure I will be thinking about them every second of the day.

Besides missing my family and possibly having a little separation anxiety, lets get into what I’m packing.

Starting off with some toiletries, got me my tooth brush, tiny toothpaste, tiny face wash, tiny lotion, and my perfume. I had to go through my list a couple times to make sure I had everything. Obviously, I can’t go anywhere without my makeup. To keep it somewhat light I’m taking my JH eyeshadow palette instead of taking three other ones. This pallet has every color shade I need for my outfits. It can’t be my makeup routine without the Charlotte Tilbury highlight. Also, a few new things I will talk about in another post.

Moving onto the outfits I’ve packed for my kid free trip. I emphasize on it being kid free because my outfits and paired with shows that are not meant to chase a toddler so, I’m taking full advantage and wearing my heels! Woot woot!

First outfit is for our first night, dress is from target with my knee high boots and my trench coat from GU.

Second outfit is a gorgeous dress I found brand new at our local thrift store. It’s so flattering and flowy it’s the best dress ever pairing it up with my black wedges.

Third is a more chill look both the Friends shirt and high waisted black jeans are from target and pairing it with my adidas sneakers.

Last outfit is a blush duster I got at forever 21 wearing it with a grey shirt from GU and my favorite jeans ever from the MCX and my blush heels are from target.

I’m so excited to share my upcoming adventures with y’all. Talk to y’all soon!!!

Family Day At The Zoo.

Hello Beautifuls! I hope you guys had a fantastic weekend and have a great Monday. Well, as great as you can make a Monday be so, throw back a cup of good cup of coffee and start your week off strong.

Anyways, my weekend was full of fun and excitement. It has been a while since we had a little adventure in Japan. On Saturday, we went to a sushi go round with some friends, Jason loves some California rolls. In case you don’t know what a sushi go round is, it’s a place where different types of sushi is going around on a belt line and you can pick from the line up. We thought it was going to be super expensive, but to our surprise it was quite affordable for the amount of sushi we ate. It has become a favorite spot for us now, amoung other amazing restuarants we found this weekend. On Sunday, on our way to the zoo we stopped at this Italian place called, Jolly-Pasta, since the hubby was craving some pizza. We ordered a pie of pizza and a plate of pasta to share and after we ordered a slice of apple pie, by far the most yummiest pie I have ever tasted. Everything was absolutely delicious.

Once, we were done stuffing our faces we were ready to walk it off at the zoo. We went to the Hiroshima City Asa Zoological Park, this was the first time Jason has gone to the zoo and boy, was he excited. The animals were quite close, we saw bamboos, rhinos, turtles, lions and the main animal there the Japanese red panda. It was my favorite animal, it was sooo cute! Jason’s favorite animal was the tiger, when he saw it he roared at it and had his little hand like paw. The hubby was excited to see the chimpanzee, he was a little sad that there were no gorillas there. I was so happy that he was having a great time and it made me so much more happier that the hubby was having a blast too.

After, the zoo we were headed home and we starving, we decided to give this little restaurant close to home a chance and I’m so glad we did. It’s called Cusco, a Peruvian restaurant, y’all dont understand how happy I was to have found this place. It had some of my favorite hispanic dishes, I wanted to order the whole menu. I got some fried yuca and beef empanadas for appetizzers and a lomo saltado for dinner. The struggle is real out here without any hispanic food, but this will do for until we go back to the states. We were ready to go home and relax, Jason was so tired that by the time we came home he was looking for jammies and his bed, he was so tired he put himself to sleep.

Overall, it was a great family outting, we haven’t had time between work and school to go out exploring this great land of Japan. I what our little adventure will be next time…

Mini Family Vacation.

Hello Beautifuls! How is y’alls summer going so far? Mine as been filled with family love, laughter, shopping, a lot of shopping, and creating great memories. I’ve been in Florida for about two months, I’ll be heading back to Japan Sunday morning. I can’t believe how fast these months have gone by. It’s going to be so sad to say goodbye to my family again for another year and a half. I will miss them very much and I’m sure they are going to miss us, especially Jason. But, we will be back before you know it.

Since, being back in the states I’ve gone to target so many times I have lost count. I’ve been deprived so, I needed my fix, don’t judge. We’ve done a lot of shopping, I think I’m set for a while and so is Jason. I’ll do a separate post on our big shopping hauls. We’ve gone on little vacations such as, going to North Carolina to see the in laws and going on a spontaneous two day beach trip. I was able to find us the cutest resort right on the beach with like a few hours notice, not days, hours! It turned out to be an amazing trip. I couldn’t ask for any better in laws. We’ve just came back from Orlando, it was Jason’s first time at SeaWorld. He loved all the shows, music, and little water parks. He sure came home pooped. I got the chance to really bond with my not so little brothers, we got on all the rides and just had a lot of fun. So much fun that I now have no voice. Since we couldn’t make it to Disney World and I had to get my Disney fix, we headed down to Disney Springs. I was so happy, I was like a little kid in a candy shop. It was magical. On top of these little trips, I’ve been enjoying the Florida sun, I finally have a tan! Jason has enjoyed both of his grandparents pools, he’s like a little fish. I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. I’m so grateful for my amazing husband for making all this possible.

Christmas, Love, Marriage, Mommy and Me, Shopping

Family Funday.

Today was a fun day for the Boucha family. We went on a little trip to Hiroshima, it is about an hour away from where we live. We have gone to Hiroshima before, but today we went to this gigantic Japanese mall. I mean it was huge! It was three stories high, they had the cutest shops. I was obsessed. If only I could fit in their clothes. But that did not stop me from doing a little shopping. Most of the shops were having a sale, I could not pass that up. I bought four cute snow globe ornaments. I love snow globes, I think they are so magical. There was no way I could not buy these adorable ornaments. I also bought a mug with the initials “Y” on it. I was never lucky on finding my initials back in the states, but in Japan I find them everywhere. Yay! There was this sponge shaped like a popsicle, it was perfect to wash Jason’s sippy cups. Lastly, I bought the cutest spoon and stirrer for my mother in law. As soon as I saw it I told my husband, “mama law would love that.” She loves butterflies, so now when she comes to Japan her coffee will look pretty. Not only did they have the cutest shops, but they a lot of delicious food. We had a hard time deciding what to eat. We finally chose to eat chinese food. I had spicy rice with chicken, it was delicious. For dessert we went to a Hawaiian themed restaurant. We ate a shaved chocolate and banana pancakes. So yummy. Jason enjoyed them a lot. It was an overall great family day. Hope you all will keep up with my blogs and follow our little adventures in Japan.
